    Disappointed

A good microwave & good value for money But VERY difficult to read Power level, Weight, Stop & Start against the silver background. I preferred My original model that had a white background for all displays & had Auto Menu for fish, sausages etc rather than popcorn & pizzas

    Not suitable for older people

Recognised this model as being on the same platform as the excellent Panasonic I needed to replace. It works fine BUT if you are elderly or suffer reading small print and/or your fingers are insensitive, you will find this model to be difficult to operate. It seems illogical that the controls do not follow a sensible sequence. First select "power level" move UP a level to select "time" then DOWN 4 levels to "START"! Definitely not designed with us oldies in mind.

    Went bang !

I bought my microwave in January 2019 and now it's broken. It wasn't used a lot, once or twice a day at most. It started sparking and fizzing hen went pop! After less than 2 years of use (my last microwave lasted 12 years) I now have to buy a new one, for a Sharp product that is terrible.

    Faulty after 15 months!

A nice microwave while it worked! Think twice about the device Used maybe 3 times a week for a 90 year old and now has failed. It appears to work, except, does not heat up.

Lasted one year before blowing up

I have had this microwave for 1 year and 3 weeks and it has just blown up. It has only ever had very light use: softening butter, making porridge, defrosting occasional meals and cooking vegetables. It went out of warranty just 3 weeks ago and is now sparking from the side. Now going to end up in landfill after just a year. What a waste of money.

    Product wouldn't work.

Re Sharp Microwave Product didn't work. Hoping to sort refund after New Year. Microwave has been returned. Had to purchase a replacement locally. Extremely disappointing and inconvenient. EAS.

Initially ok but not for long!

Initially a half decent microwave but after just a few months it started smoking and banging and had to be switched off. I called Sharp and because it didn't look like new [after 8 months] they simply and rather arrogantly refused to do anything about it - and basically said it was tough as it was our fault - really??? We used a microwave but because we didn't clean it after every single use it was our fault that their microwave packed up! Never again Sharp, and if you want a microwave that lasts I would suggest avoiding this for sure!

    Cheap and nasty

Made by Vestel. Sharp is nothing moire than a name from a bygone era, same as Toshiba and many others. The microwave has a bouncy lid and makes weird vibrating noises, presumably something inside is loose. Junk.
