    ok fridge but horrible high pitched sound

    We like the fridge in terms of size, different compartments, ability to have different temperatures in the 2 freezer compartments. However, our fridge had a horrible high pitched noise coming from it. Trying, and so far failing, to get hisense to fix it.

    Bought July 2021 broke down December 2021. Warranty service couldn’t obtain part required until 29/12/2021 leaving me without fridge freezer over Christmas? I will never buy Hisense product again.

    Great storage, unsure on longevity of door closing system

    We chose this fridge freezer for: 1) the excellent, deep door storage (can fit so many big milks and 2 litre drinks bottles) 2) the double width fridge rather than half width 3) the dimensions fitting into our gap, as we couldn’t have 90cm It’s totally delivered on all of that. We wish the sides of the fridge were also stainless steel for aesthetics. Also after only 5 days the door latch has stopped flicking back into place, so we have to carefully close the left door first, before the right. (Can’t just open the left door) Unfortunately it seems impossible to buy a double width fridge (rather than freezer left fridge right) without this funny door closing system which seems likely to break.

    I am somewhat disappointed with the SS American Fridge Freezer. The doors are supposed to be self closing, but, unbelievably, the instructions in the User’s Operation Manual states “TO ALLOW THE DOORS TO SELF-CLOSE, TILT THE TOP BACKWARDS BY ABOUT 10mm! That IS NOT SELF-CLOSING. My kitchen cupboards and drawers are not tilted to make the doors self close, or wardrobe and chests of drawers! Furthermore, the egg storage trays supplied (2 each for 6 eggs) WILL NOT FIT THE DOOR STORAGE RACKS, even though this is the designated position indicated in the Operation Manual photograph.

    Ok but feels a bit cheap

    It looks good but it’s a bit clunky; when you close the fridge doors you can hear the bottles/ tins/ milk cartons etc rattling around like they’re about to fall over in the door pockets. The light inside is also very minimal and it’s almost a little difficult to see what’s inside. The light on the inside of the freezer is very bright by contrast. Bit of a strange design... Nice and quiet otherwise and looks good in the kitchen. If I had my time again I probably wouldn’t buy it.
