Like for like replacement of another Samsung American fridge freezer. Much cheaper to run. Much more freezer space. Lots of storage on the inside of the fridge door. The water / ice dispenser is a better design than the previous model.

Replaced a similar Samsung older model with this model, various changes and updates but the major issue is that rather than having a simple replacement water filter inside the fridge unit, this new model requires an external inline water filter to be plumbed into the water supply to the unit, which if like ours,the unit fits into a designated space this can present an issue, and has had to be installed inside an adjoining kitchen unit, and certainly when it comes to replacing the filter, it is not as straightforward as replacing the previous internal one.

Looks good and is spacious inside. Filter is inline type 2 rather than a screw in type 1 which I had on my old Samsung Fridge freezer. Didn’t realise this before ordering.

Great item. Only problem is that the depth is 2 cm greater than quoted because the water/ice dispenser sticks out 2cm beyond the door, Nearly made delivery impossible as we took the dimensions quoted to be accurate. Just managed to get it through kitchen door with some clever jigglying by the delivery team.

Love the charcoal colour which goes well with my grey kitchen. Fridge is plenty large enough for 2 of us and at the moment the freezer has adequate space. Water dispenser is good and not too cold! If I had any criticism it is that the salad/veg drawers are deep and it is not easy to access things at the bottom which can easily get forgotten about.

I am delighted with the quality and price of this fridge freezer. It has been a huge asset over the Christmas period. The ability to control each side of the fridge independently is very useful and definitely saves on electricity. The large drawers for vegetable storage plus ample shelf space for turkey, trifle and other Christmas goodies was invaluable. I am looking forward to Summer and ice on tap.

It's not the cheapest by quite a stretch, but if you're reading this you're probably like me, chasing longer term savings on the one appliance you never turn off. I hadn't appreciated how much the energy saving selective cooling would also contribute to reducing noise, but it really is quiet, barring the occasional muffled dispensing of the ice cube tray. This has been crucial to us, switching up to an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge setup, but I'm pleased to report the fridge is quieter than expected (though ours is boxed into the kitchen cabinets). It's been quite a step up in storage for us, and we previously had to think very carefully about what frozen food we could actually fit. No more: there is ample freezer and fridge space for a busy family here. My only gripe is the (still) external filter cartridge where other manufacturers have managed to switch over to front facing ports to easily swap them out. As is, you will have to have a sensible chat with your plumber about the best point of access for an external isolator valve and mount for the filter. I'm happy with ours, but I hope Samsung move onto accessible internal filters going forward. That's the only minor gripe really, but I can't the product itself, which has been working merrily for two weeks now. Thank you AO for the speedy delivery and hookup.

Definitely seems roomier than our previous Samsung Fridge Freezer (2015 model), without occupying more space. Thinner doors/panels and moving the filter to outside the fridge helps. I thought the water filter would be a pain as it sits outside the fridge now, but it was easy enough to find where to put it (a cabinet next to it or above it both worked for us), but also worth knowing that the fridge is very easy to move in and out of position as it sits on wheels, so having it behind the fridge was also an option and not too difficult to change every 6 months as it slides out quite easily. Colour is not black, it's more like a brushed dark graphite black, which we really like and prefer. Great product.
