This toaster is just awful. It cannot fit a Kingsmeal 50/50 slice of bread. The leaver to engage the toaster is very cheap feeling and flimsy. The dial for toast level is very poor quality and anything over a setting of 2 burns the toast. This was to replace a recalled Bosch toaster at the same price which was a far better quality product, even if it potentially could catch fire.

Previously having Bosch toasters for many years it was my first choice when my old machine was recalled for safety reasons. Unfortunately my confidence in the brand has been let down with this model, the TAT7201GB. I could not get a slice of medium-cut Hovis white in the slot lengthways and had to initially cook it vertically and until it shrunk enough to fit the way it should. Also, the reheat function is too long and further toasts the bread making it too brown. The adjustment for browning has to be used on the minimum setting only or that also overcooks the bread. I fail to understand why Bosch, a market leader in home appliances, can not do better than this after their many years of experience. As you might expect, I have now purchased a different brand and I am happy with its performance. Bosch have lost my custom over these performance issues which they are perfectly well-equipped to avoid, most probably to save money although by no means was this a budget model.

Toasting the size of bread that this machine will take is excellent in fact I think it has the best results I've ever seen. The one and very serious hitch is, as I have already alluded to, is the size of slice it will take. It makes no provision for any other kind of bread other than a small tin.

Great toaster, struggles a bit with larger bread as it doesn’t quite fit in the toaster slots. But once in it makes for a cracking slice of toast!

OK machine, but I had the previous Bosch model which I believe was better made than this latest model

I’ve been reading negative reviews on this toaster but I had no problem using it. Maybe it is a bit pricey as at the end of it it’s just a toaster.

Pity it goes not show where temperature is during toasting cycle My last Bosch lasted nearly 9 years Hope to get same out of this one
