Looks lovely but not all toast slots and/or sides are even.

It’s just a toaster right? Nope - until we used one of these toasters in a holiday cottage we always believed that a toaster is a toaster. Not sure how Smeg do it, but the toast is really evenly cooked and the centre of the slice remains soft - fabulous!

First item we have bought by Smeg after some consideration of other brands we have previously tried. So glad we decided to pay that bit extra as this toaster does all that we expect. It toasts evenly on bread but is clever to know that a thick item such as a crumpet needs more toasting on one side than the other. It could be a coincidence but we have crumpets alot. We also bought the red to match other appliances and it's elegant curves look so good in our kitchen. It definitely feels premium and solid unlike some others that are cheaper but feel a bit flimsy. The outer can get warm in use but the manual does tell you that. Ordering through AO was easy and delivery was on time. It was well packaged so unlikely to get damaged in transit.
