    Excellenc in small appliances

    5/5
Does what it should in style, with ease at an acceptable cost. Better than my previous Bosch kettles; this is the third, in about 20 years, so the longevity bodes well as well

    Overpriced

Overpriced for a kettle. The wife wanted it, but doubt we will use any other temperature other than boiling, so in my opinion ion would rather buy a cheaper model that does the same job.

Lots of features but not consistently reliable

    2/5
I have had this Bosch kettle for 10 months, but will be contacting AO about a repetitive fault. Generally it is a very well specified, though expensive kettle and operates well. However, there is clearly an ongoing fault which results in it intermittently failing to start heating - even switching off for several minutes and restarting sometimes will not work. We have several Bosch items in our kitchen, which have proven reliable so far, but we will hesitate to buy the brand again after this experience. Very disappointing for a kettle costing almost £100 and made by Bosch - supposedly such a reliable brand.

Not great as a central heating solution

Temperature isn't completely accurate, touch-slider is actually just 7 different temperatures. But, it does pretty much what it says on the tin. It is a BIG kettle though, beware.

    Bosch - old model better

    3/5
Had previous model of this product for 10 years therefore replacing as it finally started leaking. However this new product's new base has a flaw in the the thermostat - meaning it can automatically adjust to temperature lower than the one set. Also handle has lost the old rubberised texture which felt more expensive.

    Overall very pleased

    5/5
I bought this kettle largely on the basis of its looks. However, looks aside, it is also a decent kettle with a good amount of power and water capacity. It brings water to the boil quickly and the variable temperature settings - which I initially thought would just be a bit of a gimmick - are actually quite useful for those instances when you want hot but not boiling water. The slider to select the temperature is very responsive, only requiring a light touch. Perhaps the only very slight down side is that your temperature selection is remembered when you next turn the kettle on. This can be a little annoying as 90% of the time I want 100C and have to adjust the temperature if it has previously been put on a lower setting. This is a very minor gripe, however. The display does actually quite clearly show you the current temp setting when you put the kettle on the base and it only takes a quick swipe of your finger to change it back to full power if it was previously on a lower setting. Overall very pleased.
