had this less than a year, washing performance great, software updates a nightmare. Latest update stalled programme on Drain, motor grinding, turned machine off after an hour. Logged fault with Miele, two days before I can expect a reply. Soaking washing rotting in the meantime. Have had two Miele machines over the last 40 years because they're the best. Not now.

Washing machine failed to drain after 3 weeks of use, really did no expect this to happen so early!

Very good. Didn't know about the requirement to buy brand liquids every few months forever, but was told I can use normal washing powder and conditioner. I dislike the LOUD finishing bleep because it's every 30 seconds or so, until you actively turn it off. Once is enough. The screen times out so there's no timer to see how long is left. Also 2hrs 20 mins is excessive for a basic cotton wash, and 50mins longer than my last machine. Other modes have a 4kg limit, this is my biggest annoyance. If these aren't issues, it a great machine. Quiet, does the job.

Product as a physical item is great. Quiet, smooth and everything comes out nice answer clean. Twindos seems to work well and option to self dose is great. App on the other hand is 95% as there are a few issues with twindos settings.

Got this as a replacement to a Bosch whose bearings went after 7 years of hard use. Hear great things about the longevity of Miele machines - so here's hoping. Picked this model for the 1600 spin speed and 9kg capacity. Clothes come out pretty dry - so air drying is not an issue. Machine itself is nice and quiet (once you figure out how to switch off the annoying 'I'm finished' bell). Huge manual with loads of options - but really will be mostly using the Cottons setting. Initially it says 2h30ish, after a little churning it normally drops to 1h30ish (presumably smaller loads). For me - this is just fine. It has Wifi - but really what's the point? Why not 5 stars? - the door hinge is on the Right - no other option for Miele machines (apparently it is so that you can have your tumble drier side be side - but given you can swap a hinge on a drier, but not a washing machine - I think they have it all wrong). My machines is in the left corner of the room - so the ergonomics don't work (lots of reaching over the door to get at the clothes).

Replaced our 17 year old Miele which finally gave up on us with this one. Operation of the machine seems easy and logical. Liking the twin dos system which ensures the right amount of liquid for each load. Also it's very quiet. The only surprise was the length of time of the normal cycle - have used the 'quick' option quite a lot!

Took delivery of this lovely Miele washing machine recently, as our old Bosch was wearing out. It has lots of different programmes, which is nice. It has a DOS and Cap feature for the detergents, and it will take the right amount of detergent it needs for the program settings you have selected. It also can be linked to the Miele app, which is helpful. So far, I love this machine.

Does exactly what I had hoped from a premium brand washing machine. It’s quiet, the instructions are comprehensive and easily (relatively) understood. The washing is excellent and I really like the automatic detergent dispensing. Not a cheap machine but as my last Miele washing machine lasted 18 years without a repair for me it represents good value for money.
