Doesn’t dry properly

3/5
I bought this as it was a Which? Best Buy. I’ve always had Bosch dryers, but this seems to be the worst so far. Maybe it’s faulty, but even on the top setting it’s not drying clothes properly. Towels, especially need several goes and still come out damp. Other clothes need to be hung in the airing cupboard or over a radiator to dry properly. Can anyone advise if this is a fault or just a bit of a rubbish dryer?!

Condensing dryer not working well

3/5
No matter what program is used the censors shut off the dryer too soon leaving the washing damp or still wet. The only setting that actually dried the laundry was the timed setting which overrides the sensors. A hi price for a dryer that doesn’t work as it should.

Need to use it a few times to find the best way to have properly dried clothes...

Even the "cupboard dry plus" setting seems to leave the clothes still damp, definitely not dry enough to go into the cupboard. We've found an option (programme) on the dial, it's called Timed Program Warm, that allows us to set the time manually ourselves to dry the clothes. This mode appears to bypass the sensor which is employed by other drying programmes to switch the machine off automatically at the end of a programme. The sensor definitely switches the machine off too early in my opinion, leaving the clothes still too damp. The machine does not have the Extra Dry programme which was there in our previous Bosch condenser (we had that machine for 11 years). The Extra Dry really dried the clothes quickly but leaving them a bit creased whereas the new machine takes much longer to dry the clothes but they are not creased up at all. MY old machine used to chuck out a lot of heat when being used whereas this machine feels only luke warm even when you touch the back. Personally I prefer to still have the Extra Dry option, then it's up to me to decide if I want to use it..... hence I've only given it the 4 stars rating.

There is a fault in the Tumbler Dryer ! “Fails to Start Fequently. “ Touch the start button , no result . Thump the Cabinet with hand , cycle starts . Been like this since installation . Hoping fault would resolve it’s self . Fault persist ! Please Advise .

Bisch, don’t Basch, Bosch.

Bought to replace a similar Bosch dryer which I /we’ve had for nearly 20 years so I expected great things. So far at least we’re not disappointed! It drys everything really well, if that’s what you want, and we do. Since We don’t like or need ‘ironing dry’ we tend to use the ‘cupboard dry’setting with level 3 ‘ extra dryness’ and on ‘half heat’ yet the drying time is still always way less than the display, initially at least, suggests. Read the manual is all I’ll add there. If needed, rarely, we use the timed ‘warm’ program as well which gives an extra 20 minutes warm drying. We usually turn it off after about 10 minutes and we find things to be dry enough to fold and put away. Towels will be perfectly dry to put away or use again when dried as I described above. I.e. you only dry towels and don’t try to mix a load. So, read the few pages of the manual and play with the settings and fine tune for your laundry loads. Enjoy your perfectly dry laundry, use, wash again and repeat. ‘Nuff said! Oh, finally. Yes, it can get quite hot all over the dryer. Front panel and sides at least. Using half heat on cupboard dry setting mostly cured this. It now merely gets warm all over.

Not what I was hoping for...

I'm a loyal Bosch customer - but this dryer takes some getting used to. Very quiet and gets to temperature quickly - though the clothes are too often damp at the end of the cycle, even on the top drying setting. Also it really struggles with large items - they become tangled up as there is no drum reverse. Some loads have been ok, if they are all the same thickness and size, but otherwise I'm not really happy with the performance so far.

Nice, good quality family dryer

I've had this for about a week, so far really pleased, dries a large load of clothes/ mixed sheets and towels much faster than my previous machine. Quiet running, easy to empty water / filter. It can be tricky to find a setting you like, there are a lot to choose from and to begin with I kept choosing one that gave me a steam facial when I opened the door when it had finished! Found my fave settings now and very happy. : ) Note: When the cycle ends, it beeps every minute and turns the laundry until you empty it. A nice feature if you want it, slightly annoying if you don't..there might be a way to stop this but I haven't found it yet...

Happy with Performance

I was unsure about buying this Condenser dryer, however it is working well. Mixed load does the job, clothes need a bit of time to cool down then they feel dryer and then they can be stored away. If you want clothes to be paper dry then use the longer cycle. Its a bit of a pity there in no reverse but then its not the most expensive model. Note a drainage kit is also supplied, I believe the specs missed this out.
