I wanted to able to cook a lot of different things but really like my toasted sandwiches. Normal sandwich makers don't really take the thick bread well and crushes the sandwich. But with this there is no issue, especially with the floating style top. My only issue is it is only on or off, there is no regulator/thermostat so you have to watch what you are cooking or it burns before it cooks. I can adapt to that as it's worth it.
