BT Mini Whole Home WiFi (4 Pack) for Mesh Network - AC1200Mbps

Had nothing but issues with my home WiFi since I've started working from home, did some research and spotted this awesome product! Arrived quickly and was extremely quick and easy to set up. Now I have excellent signal all over the house thanks to this mesh network kit! I would heartily recommend this product any day.

Did exactly what I needed it to do. Only issue I had was a longer power cord would have helped when positioning one of the discs - but it would be harsh to take a star off for that.

These disks work well and extend the wi-fi coverage in the house. They are straightforward to install using the app. They also work best for TVs if you put an ethernet cable in the TV AND in the disk, rather than relying on wireless. There is only one ethernet cable provided in the 3-disk version but the extra disk I bought also had an ethernet cable in it. The instructions don't explain that you can link the disks to any device using an ethernet cable. Nor do they explain the advantages of doing so. Disappointingly, I found they don't give full coverage in the house. I ordered a 3-disk version + 1 extra = 4. One of them has to be next to the existing hub so that the ethernet cable provided plugs into the existing hub. So that makes no difference to the existing wi-fi coverage. Only 3 of the 4 I bought were therefore effective in increasing the coverage. It's not made clear in the instructions but you must put the second disk somewhere near the first so that it picks up the signal from the first disk. I made the mistake of trying to put the second disk in a place where existing coverage was poor which was far away from the first disk. It didn't work because it was unable to pick up the signal from the first disk. Then you put the third disk somewhere where it will pick up the signal from the first or second disk. In this way you are gradually building up the coverage in your house. This means that the actual coverage you get can be limited because you can't put the disks close enough to each other to get full coverage throughout the house. That is what I found - I have a 5-bedroom house - even though I bought 4 disks (6 is the maximum that will work). I should have bought 1 or 2 more to get full coverage throughout the house. So whilst it works well, there are limitations to this system, which is why I have given it 3 stars.

I am amazed at the difference this has made to the WiFi coverage of my home and garden. I was expecting to spend most of the day setting it all up but 30 minutes and it was all done. Nothing to dislike.

BT wholehome mini was easy to install and has ensured that I can get good to excellent Wi-Fi connection all over the house. Definitely recommend. AO price and service were also excellent.
