Sebo the soldier

I had heard about the sebo hoovers and how good they are so when I needed a new appliance I read many reviews and decided to go for this model. AO were very good with order and delivery and I am very pleased with the performance of the hoover. I had not realised until now how poorly my other hoover was until using the Sebo. It lives up to its name.

We are delighted with our new Sebo Felix vacuum cleaner, a replacement for a 30 year old, heavy but much loved Sebo upright, which finally died on us in December. Understanding its many foibles took several reads of the manual and watching a video online, but once we got used to its swivel action, so different from the old one, we were very pleased with our purchase. We had not realised just how tired our old cleaner was until we tried the Felix on a fireside rug which now has a new lease of life.

Easy to assemble and easy to use

Very impressive vacuum cleaner. It's fairly quiet, but very powerful. When I first tried it, the brushes didn't seem to work properly. I discovered that the suction is so strong that (even on the longest carpet pile setting) it pulls the brush head down to the carpet so hard that the brushes can't turn. That's easy to fix by reducing the power a little, and now I've got the hang of that it works brilliantly. After just a week's use in a house that had been regularly cleaned with my old vac, it has filled its first bag. There's no loss of suction until the bag is completely full. Minor downside - you have to hold the vac when using the hose, as the machine is not very stable.

Love this Hoover for the efficient way it picks up, it is quite heavy but I'd read that in other reviews. I'm told that they last for years so will let you know in 10 years time if it is still going!
