Hotpoint ActiveCook ACO654NE 65cm Induction Hob - Black

    £459

    Key Features

    Product Overview

Effortlessly create lots of different dishes with this electric hob from the Hotpoint and Jamie Oliver partnership. Its 4 induction zones use electromagnets to heat the base of your pans instead of the hob’s surface, so it’s both quick and efficient. And, thanks to the interactive Active Cook feature, you’ll be able to master every recipe. Whether you’re frying fish or preparing a risotto, it works as a handy cooking assistant to detect and monitor the temperature of your oil, and it’ll tell you exactly when to add your ingredients. To make things even easier, this model also has a range of automatic programmes that choose the ideal settings for melting, boiling and simmering. Using large pots is no problem either, as the Flexi Pro option lets you combine zones to make one extra-large area.

    Tips for measuring up

When measuring for an induction hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Also, you need to make sure no cupboards will hang over the hob, and that there’s at least 65cm between the hob and your cooker hood.

    Induction technology

Jamie says, “If you want great control and speed when you’re cooking, then Hotpoint’s induction hobs are just what you need. Unlike your electric hobs, induction gets up to temperature really quickly and cools off quicker as well. Plus, with the heat staying under the pan, any spills are easy and quick to wipe away. My wife loves it! It’s quick to cook hearty meals for your loved ones and in next to no time on the clean up. Perfect.”

    Great product from Hotpoint

    5/5
Great product from Hotpoint. We have moved from gas to induction which takes a little bit of getting used to but this hob is superb. Highly recommended

    Appalling service from hotpoint

    1/5
I bought this hob in Nov and in March it has stopped working due to a faulty circuit. We are now in may and Hotpoint have refused to replace the item as they say they can fix it. I have been without a hob for more than 7 weeks in lockdown with 3 children. I would not buy anything for hotpoint as their aftercare service has been appalling. I understand the difficulties faced during this time, however they should have replaced the product and taken into consideration that I have a family.

    Great induction hob

Our first induction hob. We chose it for the sliders feature which makes it easy to change the temp up and down. So far we're very happy with the hob. Simple to use and the manual gave us all the info we needed on the auto cook function. It's very responsive (a joy after our old electric hob).

    Perfect

Great hob! my first time using an induction hob so was surprised at how much better it was to my previous electric hob. Fast delivery thanks AO!

fantastic hob heats up very quickly boils water faster than a kettle also looks great and so easy to wipe clean

    Very pleased

    5/5
Really like, fast & clean. pan location not too important, I was worried but think had one situation where very small pan not work on the big area. Not used too much yet but variation & flexibility seems really good. Not sure the 65cm much benefit. I bought for max cook room on normal hole hoping to squeeze little more cook area but of course hole still the same but think just more glass top. Does seem loads of room for std width hole especially with the 4 zones on left but not sure any/much better that a 60cm but don't quote me on that. Cannot turn beep off, if anyone manages let me know, says on instructions but has not effect. My dogs freaks at this particular tone but also little annoying anyway. Overall love it compared to my old gas hob but that was a bad layout & big gaps so pans fell over & horrible to keep clean
