Description did not explain there would be adverts built into the tablets software
I would have not had an issue other than this was not said pre purchase so I could make a choice based on the info, They pop up every time I turn the tablet on

Good buy, would recommend, easily competes with Apple

This is a good product and perfect for our needs. We wanted to update the old iPads our boys (6 and 9) had but wanted something with a lower cost given we needed two. I have always been against switching from Apple products but couldn’t justify the higher cost for an older model of Apple. I must say these Fires have been a great buy. The boys love them and have soon got used to them. At the price they are it’s much better for our needs, they look good, work great, are hardwearing and are of course 3 years newer design than the cheapest iPad.
The only downside we had was that the Amazon Fire doesn’t support certain apps directly. YouTube kids and Lego Instructions were two essentials for us but couldn’t be downloaded. If you Google instructions though you can bypass this, download the Google play store and then you can download all the apps you want. Unfortunately this means you cannot use the child profile function but it’s not an issue about 20mins faff and now all working great!
Overall I am very happy with the Amazon Fire and would recommend. If I was to buy again I would possibly go with a Samsung just because of the headache of the Google Play but it would be a tough choice, I’m certainly very happy with Fire and it really wasn’t that hard to sort the play store issue!!
