Stoves Belmont 900DFT Dual Fuel Range Cooker

The Stoves Belmont 90cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker would fit into any sized kitchen (modern/traditional), & not look out of place, it's very appealing, beautiful chrome fittings, chrome handles, the overall finish is supreme. There are 4 various sized gas burner hobs, to easily accommodate large pans & a good sized wok burner in the centre. It has 3 solid heavy duty cast iron supports that are a credit to Stoves. it's easy to ignite from the ignition switch that gives an automatic constant spark to whichever hob you're trying to ignite & Stoves have fitted an excellent safety device, whereas even if the gas control knobs are turned (accidentally or if a child turns them) the gas will not flow until the control knobs are fully depressed. The programmer has good sized LED numbers, which they've kept 'easy & simple to use', giving functions from auto cooking/timer/clock/alarm volume. There's a grill/oven, electrically heated (which is a grill & an oven combined) giving 3 different 'grill settings' & various temp settings (degrees) for the oven. There are also 2 additional ovens (electrically heated), that are fan assisted, which really helps to distribute the heat quickly & evenly, one having a viewing window & two shelves. The 2nd oven has 3 shelves & 25 different shelf/height positions, this is a lovely oven & seeing is believing, also, as soon as you turn the dial on these ovens the light & fans come on immediately. Overall I am really impressed with Stoves 900 DFT Dual Fuel Range Cooker, especially the 90cm size which is not too big or small, just a good size, that I'd definitely recommend to anyone, well done Stoves.

Wonderful Range Cooker

Everything about this range cooker is great, from the speed at which it heats up - which is very quick- to the capacity of the oven. It's really clear and easy to use and all the doors are light and easy to open and shut without affect the brilliant build of the cooker. I use the larger oven mainly for a warming drawer but you can have it as a proper oven too. I really recommend the Range cooker, for me and my family it's perfect!

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet

A Wonderful Cooker - Brilliant For Baking

This is a review for the Stoves Belmont 900DFT 90cm wide dual fuel range cooker in cream. We are in the process of renovating our kitchen and this is the cooker that we have had installed. We are going for a clean, modern look with traditional touches and this cooker fits in perfectly; it would work well in most styles of kitchen as it has a traditional farmhouse look but also feels very sleek and modern. Appearance wise this is a very good looking cooker. It is solidly built and has a smooth, easy to clean finish. It is dual fuel, which means that you get the best of both worlds – the control-ability of a gas hob and the even temperature distribution of an electric oven It measures 90cm wide, 90 high and 60 deep, which is the same depth as a standard kitchen cupboard so it fits in easily. However, those dimensions do not include the knobs and handles so it is actually a bit deeper and we had to remove a door in order to actually get it into the kitchen. The hob has five burners in a good range of sizes, from small up to a big wok burner which provides intense heat for fast cooking but I think would also be good for using with large stockpots. The hob is topped with three removable cast iron supports; they are heavy and sit snugly in place so they don't move about while you are cooking but they do have a rough surface so are a little more awkward to clean than the rest of the cooker. The dials on the front of the cooker are large, easy to read and pretty self explanatory. It is clearly marked which knob controls which burner or oven. To switch on the burners you have to press the knob in, turn it, and press the ignition button; sometimes you have to keep the dial pressed in for a few seconds in order for the flame to stay lit. The cooker is controlled by a simple LED display which is pretty easy to use compared to some others that I have tried. It has the time, an alarm, and you can set the oven to switch itself off after a certain time which is handy if you are busy and prone to forgetting that you have things in the oven. You can also control the volume of the alarm which has three different settings depending on how loud you want it. The grill is a decent size and comes with a sturdy grill pan, the detachable handle of which I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use however. It has three heat settings and four different levels that you can place the grill pan on so you have plenty of control over how you want to grill things. It can also be used as an oven if you happen to need even more oven space. The main oven cavity has a decent sized capacity of 64 litres and has two shelves which can be moved to adjust the height. There is a glass front on the door so you can keep an eye on whats inside without opening the door which is particularly useful when baking cakes. It is a fan assisted oven so has perfectly even heat distribution so things don't burn around the edges and you get the same heat on different shelf levels which is great if you are cooking several things at once or if you are making a layer cake and can't fit all of the cake tins on the same shelf. I am really impressed with how evenly it cooks things – cakes that I have baked in it so far have come out perfectly evenly browned, even if I bake the layers on different level shelves. The second oven cavity is a tall one on the right hand side, it has a large capacity of 86 litres and has three shelves which again can be moved to different heights. It is also fan assisted so again cooks really evenly. Both ovens have a light that comes on when you switch on the oven and stays on while the oven is on; the door catches have a nice feel to them and the seals seem tight. They have a good temperature range of 80-240° and both ovens also have a defrost and slow cook function which is pretty handy. The shelves in both ovens slide out about 2/3rds of the way without falling so it is easy to take things out of the oven. My one and only issue with this cooker is that some of my larger baking trays don't quite fit in either oven. Depending on the tray a few of them are either too wide or too deep to fit so I am going to have to get some new bakeware. Our old oven was an ancient gas cooker and in comparison this range cooker is an absolute dream to use, it is honestly one of the best cookers I have ever tried. Apart from the one small issue with some bakeware not fitting, I am incredibly impressed with everything about it. It is exceptionally high quality, well built, looks good, is easy to use, versatile, cooks evenly and has tonnes of space. What with the five burners and two or even three ovens you'll have no problem finding the space to cook a massive Christmas dinner in this thing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a new cooker.

Pros: Brilliant for baking, Cooks evenly, Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good Cons: Some larger baking trays don't fit

Stoves Supreme 90cm DualFuel Range Cooker

We chose the cream coloured Stoves Belmont 900DFT DualFuel Range Cooker (Gas/Electric), which would fit into a very traditional country style kitchen as well as looking equally as good in a contemporary kitchen. It's got a very appealing look about it, with beautiful chrome fittings, the overall finish is supreme, it's also AA rated for energy efficiency. It has 3 solid heavy duty cast iron supports that are a credit to Stoves, that's how they should be built, not flimsy like some! There are 5 gas burner hobs, evenly spaced out to easily accommodate 5 big sized pans as well as a very large Wok gas burner in the centre. The gas hobs are easy to remove, clean & refit. It's easy to ignite the gas burner hobs from the end ignition switch, which gives an automatic constant spark to whichever hob you're trying to ignite. & credit to Stoves as they have also included an excellent safety device, even if the control knobs are turned e.g. If a child turns the control knobs or if they're caught accidentally, it won't allow the gas to flow out until the control knob is 'fully depressed'. The clock/programmer is easily identified in the middle, with good sized LED numbers & it is really easy & straightforward to use, you've got the menu settings in the centre to scroll through the functions, giving a good selection of auto cook settings (or manual in normal use) & it even has 3 different volume settings with a good alarm. There's 2 main ovens & a combined oven/grill(electrically heated). The 2 main ovens are fan assisted which really helps to distribute the heat quickly & evenly (in fact all the ovens & grill don't take long to heat up. The oven/grill is a decent size & the grill actually has 3 different temperatures on the dial, the oven has the normal degree settings from 60-260, it also has 4 different shelf heights/positions, although the grill pan is a good size it doesn't fit into the shelf racks & has to sit on top of the shelf, which if fitted into the shelf racking it would prevent it from tipping over (if accidentally knocked). The Main Oven has an oven light & is fan assisted, the Main Oven has a good sized viewing window & a decent area, it also has 2 shelves (most only come with one) & it has '12 different shelf/height positions', I've got to say I'm impressed with that. The 2nd Oven, which I call the 'Amazing Oven' is one fantastic sized oven, with 3 shelves & '25 different shelf/height positions', so you can have almost any combination of height you want, you can definitely cook you're biggest Turkey in here, no problems. Big thumbs up to Stoves here. As with the main oven the light & fan come on with the first click of the dial & as with the main oven the Temp. settings range from 80-240 degrees. The door closures with magnetic buttons (top & bottom),although I'm not a fan of the magnetic door closures (even though they're strong)I'd sooner see a proper catch to ensure the door is fully sealed, also I'd like to see a viewing window so you can see what's cooking with the door closed, but it does help with the contemporary look, so that's probably what Stoves were looking at. Overall I am really impressed with the 90cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker, it is truly an impressive piece of kit (especially being 90cm wide, which is not too small & not too big). I would definitely recommend it to 'anyone'.

Fab cooker

Great cooker, has a solidity about it which is comforting and it's design makes it suitable for both modern and traditional kitchens. Lots of oven space, you can use the grill as an oven too (although I haven't done this yet as the handle supplied doesn't fit). The other two ovens have masses of space and they cook very efficiently and evenly. There is loads of space in the hob area - the hobs are nice and far apart so you can get large pans and even a casserole dish plus 4 pans going at the same time. The hob surface, outer surface and ovens are easy to clean but the cast iron pan supports have a slightly rough surface so there's a bit of friction when cleaning them with a cloth/wipe, not a pleasant sensation (a bit like being licked by a cat). They are really heavy too - more so than my previous cooker, so there's not much chance of them getting near the sink for a good soak. Having said the above though, on the whole I think it's a great cooker - it's so capacious you can cook loads of food in it, and it does it evenly and efficiently. It's pretty easy to use and it looks beautiful - both modern and traditional at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this range cooker to a friend.

Amazing cooker

This is my review for a Stoves Belmont 900 DFT Duel Fuel Range cooker in cream. Firstly, the size of the cooker is perfect as the width and height are 90cm and the depth is 60cm, which is a standard cupboards width, which fits perfectly into my kitchen. The cooker has a smooth paint finish as the main colour is cream, the sides and top are black which is finished with chrome handles and dials. On the hob it has 5 gas burners, which are a range of sizes. There is 1 large, 2 medium and 1 small, which are all easy to remove and clean. In the middle, there is a large hob which is great for a large wok which I have found extremely easy to use, a good size and my large wok sits perfectly in place and cooks evenly. The cast iron supports come in 3 large sections and fit snuggly into the top of the cooker which means that they don't move whilst cooking. They're very easy to remove and clean. However, I have found that they're quite heavy and do mark the black paintwork on the top of the cooker quite easily. The dials on the front of the cooker are very self explanatory to use. They are of a good size and are clearly marked which makes them easy to read and operate. The dials are also very easy to remove and clean. However, when you want to ignite the gas rings, you need to push the dial fully in for a second before you can ignite the burner. This confused me as my previous cooker didn't have this. This safety feature is great as you can not accidentally knock the dials and turn the gas on by mistake. I love the simple display on the front of the cooker which has the time, a minute minder and you can set the oven to stop cooking at a certain time. It also has a lock function on the display if you have to set the timer to automatic cook mode, I found it great that you can set the alarm volume to 3 different levels depending on how loud you want it. The grill/oven is a good size of 33 litres and comes with a solid grill pan and metal handle. I find it convenient this it has 4 levels available to use. If you use this as a grill, you can either set it to 1,2 or 3 levels of heat. I have found that it grills food evenly and I love the variable heat. The main oven has a cooking capacity of 64 litres. It has 2 metal shelves which you can change height of. I love that the shelves can be pulled out 2/3rds of the way without falling out which makes taking food out of the oven much easier. I am really impressed with how evenly it cooks food and seems to be quicker than my old oven. I also love the large, clear viewing window on the front of the oven door which makes it easy to keep an eye on what you're cooking (e.g. baking cakes). With the oven being of a good size, it easily accommodates my large roasting and baking tins, so I haven't had to buy new bakeware. The main oven door seems to have a nice feel on the closing of the door and appears to have a good seal. The second oven has a right hand sides door. I love the magnetic door catch which makes a nice smooth action and feels solid. It has 3 shelves which can be moved to different heights which I found handy when you need to use different sizes of bakeware. These shelves are also very easy to move around and clean. Again, it is of a very good size of 86 litres which is plenty of space. The lights on the main oven and second oven turn on automatically and stay on when the ovens are turned on, and there is no option to turn them off. Also, the main oven and second oven have a defrost function which I have found very helpful too. The only negative that I could find was the user manual. It seemed to cover 2 models of this cooker and it wasn't clear and self-explanatory of which features were on which cookers. So, I would recommend to just read through it carefully and go through it slowly. I am really impressed how well this oven cooks and it's much quicker than my previous cooker. I totally love the design of the cooker, it has a touch of the farmhouse look but with a modern feel. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the quality, build quality and finish of the cooker. I totally love everything this cooker has to offer and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for money
