Absolutely love this vacuum, only downside is it's a bit heavy, but the battery lasts for ages and it is brilliant at lifting dog hair from carpet, first time I used it was emptying it every 5 mins and I didn't think my carpet was that dirty!!

Easy to put together very easy to use
Not lightweight I would say but quite manageable to use for a whole house clean.
Which the battery just lasts for so that's good
The dust container is very easy to empty also

I ordered one of these after my old vacuum became history. In the meantime I was able to use a new Mains Upright Dyson on my carpets, once the battery was fully charged, I ran the B&D cordless over the same area and it not only filled the dust canister to full capacity, but also lifted the nap of my carpets making them feel new again.
Pros:
Very powerful, Long Battery Life, Easy to handle cleaning floors and even stairs, Dust collection canister is a breeze to remove and empty, A unique filter cleaner in the head of the canister, Does not need to be mounted albeit it can be, Filters are all washable, Head unit is superb.
Cons:
Filter holder for the motor (sponge) is difficult to remove for cleaning, To clumbersome and heavy for vacuuming at high levels for all but short periods.

I have a long haired dog and I also have long hair...finding a cordless that picks up both with ease is great. It is easy to manoeuvre, goes under the sofas well. It isnt too heavy. Just what I wanted.
