Dyson Carbon Fibre Soft Dusting Brush Vacuum Accessory

Excellent tool for removing dust especially from static producing furniture such as TV screen and monitors. soft bristle brushes are easy to clean however takes a few hours to dry if using water to clean brush

The Dyson carbon fibre soft dusting brush is an ok tool. Thought we would give it a try on our blinds and mirrors. Overall, it works, but for example with the blinds, didn't make things any easier than cleaning them normally, if anything it was more fiddley! Worked well on our mirror which is on the wall above the table so difficult to reach, but for one mirror - not worth the trouble

I wanted to try out the carbon fibre dusting tool from Dyson after being so pleased with their older long dusting brush accessory, but sadly for me, this tool isn't an improvement. The instructions say it is suitable for all Dyson cleaners from DC19 onwards, except cordless models and the DC24. It comes with an adaptor for the older models, but more recent Dyson cleaners shouldn't need the adaptor. I tried it with my DC40 upright and Cinetic Big Ball Animal cylinder, both directly onto the hose and using the wands. In my experience the dusting tool is best used directly on the hose end, but when used this way it's not possible to reduce the suction, causing the nozzle to frequently stick to smooth surfaces. I can reduce the suction when connected to the handle of my Big Ball cylinder, but that's not possible with the DC40 upright. Some sort of slide suction control on the nozzle itself would solve this problem. The nozzle does work well, especially on my Venetian blinds and I felt confident enough to use it on my TV and monitor screens as the brushes and velour like pads are very soft. Unfortunately due to the design of the dusting brush, it made a high pitched whistling noise in use which added to the noise of the cleaner. In summary This nozzle is not for me as there are too many cons, so I will stick to the older long dusting brush from Dyson which is excellent.
