I already have the Alexa echo. I purchased a new Google home mini as it has a more realistic vocabulary and understands general English plus several other languages. I have every thing set up to control my home while I am overseas. The main reason for my purchase is that you can make free calls to mobiles and landlines, no credit card required when setting up. As long as you create a gmail account. just about anything listed on Google search is free to call as well as friends and work numbers. it is such a simple process I should have purchased this device sooner and will now purchase another google mini for travel. The google mini is my Callander, my alarm clock and my spare phone when connected to WiFi
