Miele replaced 15 yr old microwave

4/5
I do feel that on an appliance of this cost that Miele could have used electronic controls. They do on even more expensive machines. The controls on my 15 yr old machine were more up to date and quicker to use. The buttons should be back lit. Our machine is in a darkish corner. I like the way that the shelves slide straight into the sides of the microwave. More space, less cleaning. The grill drops down so all in all really easy to clean. The instruction book is brilliantly detailed - and you can see it on Miele's website before you buy. The popcorn button, to me, is an unnecessary gimmick. So far the machine is giving good results. It would be impossible to justify this microwave unless you intend to use it to cook. I use it often as a second oven.
