    Product Overview

This sleek electric hob from Hoover will be the perfect finishing touch to any modern kitchen. Its 4 induction zones use electromagnets to directly heat the base of your cookware, rather than the whole hob surface, for efficient cooking. It’s safe too, as clever pan detection means a zone won’t heat up until a pot is placed on the surface. And, for those evenings when you’re in a hurry, the handy boost mode gives a burst of power, so your food will be ready quicker. There’s also a residual heat indicator, which uses a light to tell you when the hob is too hot to touch. Then, it’ll automatically turn off when the zone has cooled down, so you know it’s ready to wipe clean.

Please note: this model has a Power Management Function. Some induction hobs can be plugged in at the wall, rather than needing an electrician to hard-wire it. If you choose to plug in, the Power Management Function will limit the power to each zone. For example, if you have a 13 amp connection, the heat levels across all four zones cannot add up to more than 12. So, if one zone is on level 8 and you turn another zone to level 7 (8+7=15), the first zone will automatically be reduced to level 5 (5+7=12).

    Tips for measuring up

When measuring for an induction hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Also, you need to make sure no cupboards will hang over the hob, and that there’s at least 65cm between the hob and your cooker hood.

    CURRENT RATING REQUIRED

    5/5
Very impressed with this product, never had an induction hob before, seems to work very well, easy to control. Much neater to look at than the gas hob it replaced and considerably easier to clean. Only niggle, it would be useful if the voluminous information provided told you what rating of circuit breaker was required for the supply.

    Hoover Induction hob

    5/5
This Hoover induction hob looks really smart and works really well. The hob is a great improvement on the ceramic hob that was replaced. The pans heat up quickly and there is a far better control over your cooking. I would highly recommend this product.

    Only worked for a week!

Had it one week, then on Christmas Eve it started ticking while off and now, Christmas Day it’s completely broken. Hard to rate a product which has done this to our Christmas!

    Sensor issues

    3/5
We bought this job to replace a gas 4 ring hob. Installed by a professional and everything was fine for a month or so. However, one ring was faulty and had the sensor replaced. A few months passed and we have the same issue with not only that ring again, but 2 more. Having them replaced hopefully in the next few days,so fingers crossed that’ll be the end of it. We don’t cook on a daily basis however,so I’m not entirely pleased with this unit, hence the mid range score.
