Bosch HMT75M461B 17 Litre Microwave - Black

Quite happy with microwave. My only reservation is the dial to set the time which does sound a bit creaky when turned. You can only set one memory function. Basic but easy to use and great if you don't have much space.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. Unlike my old microwave (old being two years) this one heats evenly and consistently. It is slightly noisy with the fan and slightly disconcerting initially as the fan carries on after the microwave has stopped. Despite this I am very happy with it and would happily recommend it when you haven't got space for something bigger

After 6 months use I have to say I would not have purchased this item had I known more about it. We were told it was a touch control but it is not, the only touch controls are for power selection, start, stop and clock setting. The control for setting the cooking time is a large button that has to be pressed out and turned, just like the old style microwaves. It is very annoying having to select the power level before pressing start, it will not start to cook until you do so. It is very noisy when in use and the fan continues after the cooking time has elapsed, still very noisy and the longer the cooking time the longer this takes to stop, very annoying. It feels very flimsy, when cleaning the outside of it the case bends quite worryingly. It is very small inside, a large dinner plate will not fit at all.The door has a nasty habit of randomly getting stuck when you are trying to open it, if you have fingers like mine that do not work so well pulling it open is impossible the only thing to do is shut the door and reopen it by pressing the button. This microwave looks good but I would not reccomend purchase of it, it walks the walk but does not talk the talk. This machine is fine to sit on the worktop and look good but not for use.

This was a lot smaller than I thought, I cannot fit a normal size plate into reheat a meal. It seems very flimsy in it's construction, the sides are very bendy when touched. The inside is quite easy to clean but the outside is rather awkward as the door is not flat. The button to open the door is very hard to push, no good for a person with painful fingers, perhaps a handle would have been better. It is noisy in use and for some reason, I have not been able to find out why, the fan continues for some time after the program is finished so you cannot be sure it has actually finished. My old machine, same power, took 25 secs to reheat a drink, this one takes 45 secs or more. This does not seem very powerful as it seems to take the maximum times in recipes or more. It is very fiddly when setting a cook/reheat time as the power button has to be pressed and then the cook time knob seperately twirled, could get very anoying. I expected more from a product with this brand name I would not purchase this again even if I were desperate.

This microwave is a fairly small build however the inside doesn't seem to have a smaller capacity making it an excellent choice when there is not much work surface to use. It is light so moves around on the work surface a bit but that can be sorted out. As far as using it is concerned it has an extensive range of power choices, easy to use dial to select your seconds and minutes for cooking and beeps for a while after it has stopped cooking which is good as if I'm busy I didn't always hear my old one. So far I am very impressed with it.

My one slight disappointment with this microwave is that the timer is not as flexible as it might have been for cooking times over 5 minutes. If you want to cook for 5 minutes 30 seconds, you have to set it for 5 minutes and then set it again for the extra 30 seconds. I've only ever had one microwave oven before and it had a manual timer, so I've no idea whether or not this is normally the case. But hey, other than that, it looks good, does what it says on the tin and is decent value.
