Services

  • Connection £85.00

Get your new cookers fitted the same day it’s delivered with our connection service. Our Gas Safe-registered engineers will disconnect your old appliance for you before getting your new one completely set up and ready to use. We’ll unpack it and give it a full health check first, to make sure everything is in tip-top shape, and we’ll give you an official gas safety certificate too. Before you order our connection service, there are a few things you should know and a couple of things to check. Take a look at our helpful gas cooking installation page for more information.

  • Disposal £20.00

We’re happy to take away your old appliance and dispose of it responsibly. All we ask is that it’s disconnected, empty and ready to go. Don’t disconnect your appliance yourself, that’s a job for a gas certified engineer. If you've paid for our installation service, we'll disconnect the old appliance for you. Take a look at our disposal and disconnection page for more information.

Product Overview

Prepare delicious meals for the whole family with this Hotpoint gas cooker in stainless steel. It has a main conventional gas oven which gets hotter at the top because heat rises inside. This means it’s ideal for cooking lots of traditional meals from roast dinners and casseroles to cakes and cookies. This model has a second gas oven with a grill setting, which comes in really handy for preparing your morning bacon sandwich. It has a useful minute minder, so you’ll always know when your food is ready. The main oven also has catalytic liners inside which absorb food smears and grease, so it’s really easy to keep clean, too.

Exquisite!!

Very easy once we got used to it, we found at first a problem in closing oven door, we found that it is not like older models where one needs to push oven door hard to close, this only needs a light touch. Beautiful!!!!

Pros: Quiet, Ease to use, Good build quality, Value for money, Looks good

Great oven

Only had this new oven for 3 weeks and it’s great, cooks a lot more even than my old cooker and cooks a lot quicker so I have to remember to check on it more often. The only thing I don’t like is the smell that’s given off when in use but in time that will fade it’s just because it’s new. Would highly recommend this oven it’s so easy to use.

Worse Cooker Ever!

I`ve had many cookers in my 60 years plus, and I can honestly say this is the worst one I`ve ever owned. My partner and I are continually frustrated (if not driven demented) by the fact that we have to press the ignititer for the grill up to about 20 times before the grill actually starts! One doesn`t know if the grill came on (since it may sound as though is has when in reality it hasn`t) unless you continually bend down to see that it has, and since one often has to do this up to 20 times despite having firmly pressed the relevant starter switch (no exageration) there is no need to go to the gym for excercise! Some of the rings are also temperamental, which means that the starter switches for these often have to be pressed more than once. Again, since you only realise the ring you have pressed has disobeyed your instructions when you return to enjoy what you think will be your cooked dinner, this can cause immense frustration not to mention inconvenience to say the least! Whilst the four separate hob plates make it easier to clean the cooker, they are forever moving about when you place a pot on them. This means that you have to forever juggle with the pot you are trying to place on the hob plate whilst trying to readjust the hob plate which has moved, so that you can then place the pot on it! Since this particular cooker isn`t even particularly aesthetically pleasing to the eye, I would say that it has absolutely nothing going for it at all. My partner (who is well trained (lol) does all the baking, and he says that the oven doesn`t bake the cakes as evenly as our prevous ancient cooker. Since we had paid a gas fitter £100 plus to fit the cooker, it is very difficult to complain with a view to getting a replacement since it is most unlikely that AO would take it back anyway, or would pay for the fitment of another cooker even if they did. I`m writing this review not to be unkind to AO or indeed Hotpoint, but to warn other perspective buyers about the continual problems my partner and I have had with this cooker. To reiterate, out of the many cookers we have had over the years this one is by far the worst for the reasons stated above. Although this cooker isn`t expensive as far as the price of cookers go, I would say that it is expensive for the extremely poor quality as outlined above, which makes it extremely frustrating to use rather than in any way a pleasure.....having to push the ignition button up to 20 times before the grill comes on does not put one in a good mood in the morning!

Cons: Noisy, Complicated, Expensive, Poor quality
