De'Longhi Clessidra ICM17210 Filter Coffee Machine - Silver

After becoming fed up of my cafetière which was leaving coffee grounds in the every serving, I decided to splash out on this slightly expensive device. It's worth it. If you enjoy coffee, why not buy something decent to enjoy it! It's all about life's little luxuries! I'm not a coffee expert, but my personal tasting notes suggest this will bring out the boldness and depth of coffee that I wasn't getting with old method. I also like the fact it looks great and will keep my coffee warm for much longer. And that it will serve lots more people. Yep, a great purchase. No regrets!

Filter Coffee - filter cone, ground coffee, hot water. wait for water to seep through, pour into cup and drink - filter coffee. Not with this machine, Whether it's where the filter is placed - in the top of the jug - or the temperature of the base plate to heat jug or the heat and rate at which the water passes through I'm not sure, combination of them all I guess, but the result really has to be experienced. This machine makes the best filter coffee I believe I have ever tasted.

Bought this machine as I was looking for a reasonable priced no frills coffee machine that was certified by the European Coffee Brewing Centre. I'd had a Bonavita in the US and having moved to the UK was\ looking for a Bonavita OR another more affordable alternative to the Technivorm. Its a great looking machine with 2 buttons for drip coffee or pour over . Not tried the pour over function. I like the way it heats the water in the upper chamber first and lets gravity do all the work of moving the hot water to the brew basket. It consistently produces a great cup of coffee and brings out some great flavours in coffees I'd tried before and discarded. Definitely recommend to others. It is more pricey that an average regular coffee machine, But its not an average coffee machine...
