Really good device, highly recommend to anyone thinking to take the plunge into the Xiaomi world. I was apprehensive prior to purchasing, coming from a OnePlus device and having read mixed reviews of the MiUI software experience. While it is a heavier skin than stock android, it is very well thought out and quite refined. Somewhat IoS inspired in some aspects, mainly visually, which is not a bad thing as apple has a very good software. MiUi bings the best of both. All bloatware can be removed or disabled, and there are NO ads like days of old. Very minor bugs, not like the reviews will have you believe. Then again what software is bug free?Nothing to complain about. Battery life is great, and phone charges stupidly fast. Sound quality is good too. Lots of storage for the price. Processor is lightening fast, no lag at all so far in any apps. Haven't used for games so can't comment on performance there. Screen is great, of course not top tier compared to Mi11 but is more than clear and vivid enough for social media, streaming and gaming. It's flat so shouldn't break as easily and repairs should be cheaper I assume. Phone is thicker than I expected but that's due to larger battery so I don't mind. Camera is good enough for the average user. It's not going to stand up to Samsung, apple, pixel etc... But is more than enough for people who don't use the camera often like myself. All in all, great phone. For the price, below Samsung and Apple prices, you get a solid deal.
