Looks great and performs well for the price

Firstly remove the blue plastic covering before fitting, we had a nightmare trying to get this off after fitting to the wall and there are still tiny bits attached which bug me. We fitted as a recirculating unit and the package does not come with the flexible duct so we had to purchase separately. The product looks great and is comparable to more expensive versions however the metal sheeting is very thin and flexible which caused some problems with fitting. The noise levels are acceptable as it seems to vent well and the led lights are fantastic during cooking for extra light.

Excellent extraction

I took a chance on this, given the mixed reviews and so far I am pleased I did. I have installed this as a ducted extractor and found its extraction performance to be excellent, even given a fairly long ducting run. Contrary to other reviews, I performed the paper test using the entire installation manual on its lowest (not 'silent') setting and it held it there well. I can fully believe the extraction rate claim. Whilst I would not call it a 'quiet' extractor, I would also not say it was 'too noisy' - I have found the noise level to be of an acceptable level (though I appreciate 'noise' levels are very subjective), easy enough to hold a normal conversation over, especially for the extraction performance it delivers. It easily lifts steam and cooking smells out of the room even on the low setting. It should be noted that noise from extractors can be as much to do with the ducting run as the extractor itself – ensure it is the widest diameter specified in the instructions, and if using flexible aluminium tube, ensure it is pulled tight and avoid too many bends to reduce turbulence, as this can add to noise levels & reduce suction. The lights are bright and easily illuminate my hob 70cm below. It is not mentioned in the literature but the LEDs used are of the 'cool white' variety, which may be an important factor to some. I have marked it down on build quality as, whilst it does feel fairly sturdy and looks well made, when it arrived, the button panel did not line up with the holes in the metalwork, so some disassembly and reassembly was required on my part to rectify this. I was also a little surprised to find it required a torx (star) driver bit, which may over-complicate assembly for some if they do not have a torx screwdriver. Overall I am very pleased with the cooker hood, it is an excellent addition to my kitchen, and with a B energy rating whats not to like?

Looks great, performs poorly!

We bought this product on the understanding it has high extraction performance, however have been very disappointed. Not to mention it's extremely loud, not great when entertaining!

Ok for show

It would help if the extractor came with all fittings necessary to use it. Check carefully when buying as you may need to buy extra parts

Cooker hood

I bought this due to a replacement. Looking at the suction power of over 600. I don't believe that is correct and would not recommend it. Very noisy.

Pros: Ease to use Cons: Noisy
