Design & Quality

Having previously had the 32” Samsung serif from a few years ago I was ready to upgrade in size and screen quality. When I heard they were re-releasing the serif in larger screen sizes and with 4K technology there was no other option for me. The 4K picture is amazing, colours pop and blacks are super-black. The design of the set is what originally drew me to it a few years ago and now with the larger screen size and new 4K technology it’s the complete package. Only thing stopping this being a 5-star review is that I prefer the smart hand remote from the older range (aesthetically and functionally). Also I think the back panel was better quality on the older sets (the new ones are a large piece of plastic, the older ones were a more fabric like feel/design). I would like to see in a range of colours, Samsung have shown a ‘clay’ colour version (not sure if will be released). The older models were available in Dark Blue and Red as well as the standard White. The Serif was always a great looking TV, now with the benefit of updated 4K technology and choice of larger screen sizes it’s near perfect.
