    Tips for measuring up

When measuring for a cooker hood, we recommend matching the size of your new hood with the size of your hob – if they’re the same width, you’ll have a smoke- and odour-free kitchen. Also, check that the bottom of the hood will be at least 75cm from your hob.

    Good, for the most part

We bought this unit to replace a beat up hood in a house we had just moved in to. The actual hood assembly seems robust and well made. It was easy to install and wire up. I liked the mounting method as it allowed a little lateral 'wiggle room' to get it precisely lined up with the existing tiles The instructions are fairly straight forward and the operation is simple and, so far, seems effective. However, the quality of the hood unit does not extend to the chimney. The unit I removed had a robust heavy gauge steel chimney (unfortunately not stainless steel or I would have used it instead). In comparison, his one is more akin to a baked bean can. The main components are very thin, flexible and, WARNING, some of the edges are exceedingly sharp. The two parts just vaguely fit, one inside the other and there seems no way to actually make any form of rigid joint. A pair of self tapping screws fasten one end to the hood and there is a wall bracket to fasten the top section to the wall but the centre just slops around. It actually took almost as long to get the chimney looking properly square as it did to mount the hood on the wall. Oh, and be careful of the blue plastic protective covering it is an absolute pig to peel off.

    awesome unit

Great extractor fan, does exactly what it says on the tin and very well! Only thing to be mindful of is the lights are on the back (wall side), as such it illuminates every speck of grim on your wall. Other than that perfect and good looking ??

    Stoves cooker hood

Great product. Perfect for range ovens. Smart. Sleek. Provides additional lighting over your hob

    Nice looking but noisy

Good and professional looking cooker hood with a booster function to allow more powerful extraction. I’m not sure though if it’s any different to level 3 as they both seem to sound the same. Talking of sound, it’s noisy from level 2 and up. It seems to be due to the filter that are made of metal to allow them to be washable. They seem to be loosely fitted hence produce more vibrating sound which is louder than I thought especially when sound was my main priority since we have an open kitchen/lounge.

    Decent cooker hood

Grand and impressive without being showey. Pairs beautifully with the Stoves range cooker. Does the job fine, decent build quality. Only slight niggle is the 'cool white' led lighting rather than a warmer hue and not being able to order carbon filters as an accessory with the purchase from AO but as a side order from Stoves spares (much cheaper to get a three pack)
