    Product Overview

Enjoy the experience of traditional gas cooking with this Electra cooker in black. The main conventional gas oven is rated A for energy efficiency and is ideal for baking. This is because heat rises inside, making it hotter at the top – creating the perfect environment for cakes. It has a useful grill function too, which is great for making perfect crispy bacon or tasty cheese on toast. The 4 burner gas hob provides fast and efficient heat and has enamel pan supports which are safe, sturdy and really easy to keep clean, too.

    Tips for measuring up

As a freestanding cooker, this model can easily be fitted into an appropriate space between your kitchen countertops. Cookers usually come in three widths – 50cm, 55cm or 60cm – so just measure the space you have to find one that’ll fit. Also check the depth, as you’ll need to allow for gas pipes and electrical sockets around the back of the appliance.

Faulty cooker and poor service from Electra

The first cooker that arrived was faulty and the thermostat was broken which meant that all my food was burned. I was advised by ao to contact Electra who said that they would send an engineer more than a week later. The engineer didn’t have the part and said there was a 10 day wait for a new part. I contacted AO.com again and had a 3 way conversation with AO.com and Electra. The lady from Electra was less than helpful insisting I would have to have to wait for a repair and said she would book it in for the following Thursday which I told her was inconvenient. She said that I would have to accept what day they offered me. I insisted that this was not satisfactory and I wanted a replacement which she wasn’t agreeable to. At this point Rob from so took over and ended the link with Electra. He arranged for a new cooker to be sent the following day. Incidentally on the Thursday I received a text from an engineer saying that he was returning to fix my cooker but didn’t have the part. You couldn’t make it up. Thankfully now I have a replacement cooker I am satisfied with it. I wouldn’t buy a product from Electra again. However AO.com sorted it out, so I would buy from AO.com again.

It's nice having a cooker that works!!

It does the job. I now have a working grill, which is a big thing for me. Everything is more powerful including the oven which I have yet to manage without burning anything. The controls are opposite to my old cooker and the door opens differently. But like all new things, it's just a matter of time before everything is done without having to remember what to do.

    Quite nice looking product

So far so good but it does have a tendency to burn the base of things sited nearer the bottom of the oven. This is probably because the burners are in the base as opposed to the back of the oven. Needs a bit more getting used to. Delivery men and fitting was excellent and very efficient.

    • Connection £95.00

Get your new cooker fitted the same day it’s delivered with our connection service. Our Gas Safe-registered engineers will disconnect your old appliance for you before getting your new one completely set up and ready to use. We’ll unpack it and give it a full health check first, to make sure everything is in tip-top shape, and we’ll give you an official gas safety certificate too. Before you order our connection service, there are a few things you should know and a couple of things to check. Take a look at our helpful gas cooking installation page for more information.

    • Remove & Recycle £20.00

We’re taking a sensible approach to the changing COVID-19 situation, and so we’ve had to make some adjustments to our services.

If you’ve bought a new appliance but you don’t want us to connect it for you, all you’ll need to do is disconnect your old one, empty it and place it by the entrance of your property, ready for us to pick up.

If you haven’t bought a new appliance, we can still collect your old one and take it away for recycling. However, as we won’t be able to come into your home to disconnect it, you’ll need to make sure it’s by the entrance to your property, ready for us to pick up. Our experts will recycle it safely and responsibly in our state-of-the-art facility.

The cost of our Remove & Recycle service goes towards safely transporting the product to our recycling plant. Under the WEEE regulations, recycling costs are primarily covered by the product manufacturer.

Also, while we’re picking up your appliance, if you’ve got any smaller kitchen electricals that need recycling – such as kettles, toasters or blenders – we’ll happily take those away too at no extra charge. Just pass them to your driver when we’re picking up your larger appliance.
