Hidden in my chimney

4/5
Bought this to fit inside a chimney breast above the cooker (The fireplace has been removed, but a lintel remains). As it is fairly shallow and I didn't have much space. The ability for the visor to slide down and out at an angle also meant it could be hidden behind the wooden lintel, which looks smarter than any of the other telescopic hoods I could find. The drawback of all this is that the hood doesn't extend all that far out, so the front two rings on the hob aren't really covered. I imagine this is also the case if the hood is fitted in a wall cabinet. The lights are nice and bright, but positioned at the very back of the unit, so the light rakes across the back wall. If you have any imperfections in that surface, the lights will make them very obvious, so bear that in mind.
