Services Connection, Disposal

Services

  • Connection £15.00

We’ll get your new fridge freezer in place, level the feet and take away all the bulky packaging for you. Your new appliance will need to sit for a few hours before it’s plugged in. This is important as it ensures the gas coolant inside the fridge settles. Unfortunately, our drivers won't be able to fit the handles on your new appliance if they're packed separately.

  • Disposal £20.00

We’ll happily take away your old appliance for you and recycle it. All we ask is that it's disconnected, emptied, fully defrosted and free of any ice and water. The fee for this service relates to the cost of taking your old appliance away on our van rather than the recycling service.

All seems good

All in all the item seems good quality and is quite even thought we have only had it for a short time. There are not a lot of features but how many do you need in a fridge freezer? as long as it does the job that is the main purpose and so far we are more than happy with the product.

Buyer Beware

Great looking freezer and perfect for my requirements but be aware that the guarantee is invalidated if you damage the packaging in anyway. This was not mentioned when I bought the appliance was when it was delivered. As the instructions and guarantee were packed inside the freezer, I only found this out after I had unpacked it and tried to register the guarantee. I was told by Swan that I had invalidated the guarantee by damaging the packing (it was impossible to unpack it any other way as it is extremely thick cardboard staples together with industrial size staples). I was told that I should have paid a Swan installer to unpack it. Oh...and you have to keep the packaging (in tact) for the lifetime of the guarantee or again you invalidate the guarantee. Who has space to store a 6 foot, heavy duty cardboard box? Sounds to me like Swan are trying to make it very difficult for anyone to have cover for their appliances. After informing me that I had invalidated the guarantee she even tried to sell me additional cover! Won’t be buying Swan products again even though they do look great.
