    Product Overview

For spotless school uniforms every day of the week, this Bosch washing machine is the one. With a 9kg drum capacity, it’ll make the perfect addition to any medium-sized household. It comes with a handy quick wash too, so if one of the kids spills baked beans down their polo shirt at dinner, it’ll be crispy white again in just 15 minutes. The Allergy Plus setting uses longer rinses to flush out every speck of detergent, keeping sweatshirts free of irritants and softer on skin. And with the ecoSilence Drive in tow, you’ll enjoy a longer lasting appliance that’s much quieter than other models.

    Features we love

Gentle on your clothes and skin

If anyone in your household suffers with allergies like hayfever or sensitive skin, this programme will wash away 99.9% of allergens, including dust mites, pollen and fur. It does this by using higher temperatures, more water and a longer rinse, so it’s perfect for hardwearing fabrics like cotton, linen and denim. This not only gently cleanses your clothes, but will help to look after your family’s delicate skin.

Clear the laundry pile in record time

When you want to use a particular programme but are short on time, the SpeedPerfect option will help. It will wash up to 65% faster – without compromising on quality. You can pair it with almost all of the programmes – whether cotton or synthetic - giving you even greater flexibility when it comes to laundry day.

Add or remove items during the wash

If you’ve forgotten to pop a sock in the wash or need to remove something you accidentally dropped in the laundry basket, the Reload function will save the day. Simply press the Start Reload button and the machine will check it’s safe to open before draining the water and unlocking the door – all in a few seconds.

    Efficient washing of small loads

Active Water™ technology uses clever sensors to weigh your laundry when you load the drum. This means the machine can work out just how much water, time and energy it needs to use throughout the cycle. So, you’ll save on your utility bills, without having to lift a finger.

    Ecosilence drive

Bosch EcoSilence Drive motor, is quieter, more energy efficient and longer lasting than normal motors. Because it uses frictionless magnets instead of noisy brushes to power the motor, it’s great for open plan living. So, you can use it anytime of the day, even when it’s movie night, and it’s got a 10 year warranty too.

    Measuring up tips

This is a freestanding washing machine, so it won’t fit behind an integrated kitchen cupboard door. Just make sure you measure the space where you want the washing machine to live and add 7cm onto the depth to make sure there’s enough space for the pipes needed to connect the appliance.

Got some great features but takes some getting used to after 18 years with an 'older' model!

    4/5
Got this to replace our previous Bosch model, which had lasted 18 years and was still in good working order but had got very noisy and grimy, despite regular cleaning and Calgon use, so we wanted to get a new one before it broke down. We chose the Serie 6, having just got a Serie 6 Dishwasher, with which we were delighted and I think that's why I was a little underwhelmed with this model. It has all the same cycles as our previous one, plus a couple of extras, but there are some definite hiccups that made me wonder if we'd done the right thing 'trading our old one in'. For example, I used to be able to use the Easy Iron feature with the Wool cycle but that is no longer an option. This may be because the Wool cycle doesn't use a high spin speed, so it doesn't need "easy iron" but this isn't clear, so I've taken to using the Silk/Delicates cycle instead. It also isn't as quiet as I was hoping. It isn't too loud to use outside my WFH Office when I'm on conference calls, which our old one was, but I can definitely still hear it, despite having a 'fire' door in between. Perhaps the silver 'metallic' finish is misleading but the drawer also doesn't feel as robust as it looks. I took it out to clean it and was really concerned it would crack or break if I knocked it in the sink. The door also feels quite 'plasticky', when our old one was made of nice thick glass and it generally doesn't feel as well-made as our equivalent series dishwasher, which has a really solid finish. The one other thing that really bothers me is that the time remaining display seems far less accurate than our previous model. I thought the load was nearly done because it said it had 3 minutes left, so I went away and came back a couple of minutes, only to find it had increased to 7 minutes! It isn't a huge problem but it can be annoying if you've set the load to finish in time to hang it out before work and it isn't done. I also had a bad experience with the preset timer because you have to follow a whole series of steps in a very specific order, or the play/pause button just flashes and it doesn't actually start, so you come down to a machine full of still dirty clothes! I since tried it again, following all the steps as per the manual and it did eventually work, so it was obviously user error, but I don't see why it has to be so complicated. All of this aside, I am still giving it 4 stars because it is overall a great appliance and it does have some really great features, like being able to 'pause' the wash to add errant socks (yes, I've already had to use this!) and the allergy wash is useful for people with allergies or when you want to be sure of extra hygiene e.g. for washing reusable masks and hand towels. The 'Drum Clean' cycle is handy for regular cleaning and there are a lot of options to reduce the duration of the cycle if you're in a hurry, as well as lots of options for every possible type of load you might need. Overall it is very good but it just takes a bit of getting used to.

    Not particularly quiet.

    4/5
Product is great. Does everything a washing machine should do. Only one negative point is that the description stated it was a quiet machine deliberately so could have it freestanding in a room. It's not particularly quiet.

    Great machine

    4/5
Does exactly what it says on the tin - quiet, cleans well and has all the functions required. It only gets 4 stars as I don’t know yet if it will stand the test of time.

    Worth investing in

Very efficient and quiet washing machine. Timings are very good, I would definitely recommend it and extended warranty to 5 years is very good.

    • Connection £25.00

We want you to get up and running straight away with your new appliance, which is why our expert team will connect your new item to your water pipes and make sure everything is working properly. Connecting it yourself? Make sure you remove the transit bolts. These will make a loud rattling sound if they’re left in place when you run a cycle.

    • Remove & Recycle £20.00

If you’ve bought a new appliance but you don’t want us to connect it for you, all you’ll need to do is disconnect your old one and empty it, ready for us to pick up.

If you haven’t bought a new appliance, we can still collect your old one and take it away for recycling. Our experts will recycle it safely and responsibly in our state-of-the-art facility.

The cost of our Remove & Recycle service goes towards safely transporting the product to our recycling plant. Under the WEEE regulations, recycling costs are primarily covered by the product manufacturer.

Also, while we’re picking up your appliance, if you’ve got any smaller kitchen electricals that need recycling – such as kettles, toasters or blenders – we’ll happily take those away too at no extra charge. Just pass them to your driver when we’re picking up your larger appliance.

    • Disconnection £10.00

We’ll disconnect your old freestanding appliance when we deliver your new one

      • This includes the tricky job of disconnecting it from your water pipes

Make delivery even easier by selecting all three connection and disconnection services in the basket. In one trip we can:

      • Disconnect and recycle your old appliance
      • Safely install your new one

Just a quick note: if you’re buying a freestanding appliance to replace an old integrated one, we won’t be able to disconnect it
