Great product

Fantastic washer dryer. Does take a little time to get to grips with the controls but once mastered is fairly straightforward. Washes beautifully. Adapts drying time to the load if chosing one of the preprogrammed drying cycles but you can also just set a duration for the drying cycle.

Top quality - get what you pay for with this machine

We often use the automatic wash & dry cycle with a delayed start. It has a holding function when it finishes to keep your clothes crease-free and gently tumbling until you’re ready to take your clothes out. We’re not entirely certain how to use all of the features of the machine so we’re probably not using it to the extent of its ability! We’re also uncertain how to correctly use the Caps (trials supplied).

Fantastic product, life changing even

Their machine is so quiet you don't even know it's washing your clothes, intact I even found myself periodically prodding it to see if it was even on. It has a huge amount of options for both washing and drying and has the best design i have seen of this type of machine in years. The price would you believe is actually well worth it for what you get as the build quality is exceptional. I've used it now for over four months and will never be going back to any other type of machine. You can't go wrong with a Miele.

Pros: Quiet, Ease to use, Good build quality, Value for money, Looks good

Superb washer-dryer

Meile is expensive but I cannot believe how quiet this machine is, having had several other brands in the past. It is worth spending extra for the quality of the machine, and the range of features, control over different aspects of washing and drying including spin speeds, time and temperatures.

Very quiet machine

This is a heavy machine weighing 94KG, which is due to it having a cast iron frame and not a concrete block it also comes with a braided metal inlet pipe to protect against bursts. The machine has a 7KG washing capacity and a 4 KG drying capacity which is a downside of this machine when compared to other washer dryers on the market which have 10kg wash 7kg dry. This smaller drum size limits the ability to use this machine to its full potential as a 4kg load is a small load if you want to wash and dry in one continuous cycle, otherwise you need to run a wash cycle and then remove some washing if you then want to dry it. The max spin speed is 1600 RPM but this is only when washing only, if a washing and drying continuous sequence is chosen the max spin speed is 1200RPM according to the manual. It is also advised not to use plastic detergent dispenser balls if washing and drying stating these can melt and damage the machine, which means using liquid detergents is a problem for continuous washing/drying cycles. There is a wide range of programs available to be used on this machine, even one for trainers and additional options for dealing with a range of stains or reduced creases. The machine auto senses the load and reduces the water used accordingly making it both more efficient for water use and energy used to heat the water, there is also the Powerwash 2.0 which reduces the water used further still with a half load or less by pumping the water around the machine and injecting it back into the middle of the drum ensuring the washing gets a good soaking with less water. There is a light inside of the drum which is great when your adding and removing washing so you do not leave that stray sock in the drum, but it would be nice if you could turn it on mid cycle to see what was happening. The Machine is very quiet, I can happy watch TV without closing the door to the kitchen and the only item I hear it is the occasional clink of washing moving around or the water filling up and the final spin when it his 1600RPM, even drying it was quiet which is a big difference to my harrier jumpjet taking off noise of my current condenser dryer. Overall it’s a very nice machine and cleans very well and is very quiet. It drys well although I have only used the drying cycle once but even on normal dryness it was dry and there is a normal plus and extra dry setting too. However due to the limited drum size and the warning about dispenser balls I cannot see me using the machine much as a continuous washer dryer. I would have liked to see a larger 10kg wash 7kg dry drum and the big bonus would be the twindos option so that you wouldn’t have to worry about the detergent balls melting and another improvement would be for the machine to display the weight of your washing so you know if you are overloading the machine before you start a cycle as alot of cycles have a max load size and i cannot be the only person that does not weigh their washing. Overall its a good machine but if you have the space I would advise buying separate washing machine and dryers as they tend to have a increased the drum size (I think the equivalent Miele washing machine has a 8-9kg drum and also has Twindos) but they are also more energy efficient and enable you to wash and dry at the same time.

Pros: Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet Cons: Expensive, No Twindos, Small drum Size

Great washer dryer from a well-known brand!

This Miele Washer Dryer is superb! It checks all of the main boxes but sadly does have a few cons; To start off with, the washer dryer is quite complicated to setup. There is a 2 hour wait period before you can actually use the machine (which means you can't "plug and play" like you can with some other machines). This 2 hour wait period is very annoying, but once you get over this the machine is an excellent piece of kit. The technology behind it is great - it comes with a wide range of wash and dry programs suited for many different types of situations. It has a 7KG max wash load and a 4KG max dry load - this poses an issue as you can only really do a max 4KG wash and dry cycle if the total weight of items to be washed is 4KG otherwise you would have to remove some items from the drum which can be a pain if you just want a continuos wash and dry cycle. There is a simple aluminum knob to control programs, along with an easy to use touch sensitive panel with LCD display. There are many security features such as a child lock to ensure that a child cannot mess around with certain features during cycles. Washing is excellent with this machine, it can sometimes take a long time with a large load but it will automatically adjust itself to a shorter time period once it's a way through the wash. Overall I'm really please with this machine, it's great for family use and can cope with day to day usage however for the price (£1,699 at the time of writing) I think it's a bit overpriced as you're just paying for the name "Miele" - like any premium product. None the less, it's a well built and perfect family washer dryer.

Pros: Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet Cons: Complicated, Expensive, Very heavy
