    Zanussi washer dryer - good and bad points!

    I mainly use this for washing and occasional drying. Product seems to work well, and auto adjust is quite handy in measuring load and adjusting wash or dry times. Final results are good so far. On the negative side, this product replaced an older Zanussi washer/dryer model ZWT71401WA, so I was expecting an almost drop in replacement. Unfortunately the two models have different plinth heights and outlet hose assembly. This meant quite a bit of work was involved during replacement, including cutting of the plinth and buying an outlet hose extension kit.

    Good replacement- hope it lasts another 17 years!

    A replacement for a similar Zanussi model that gave over 17 years of reliable service. This one has a larger capacity and a few extra features that should prove useful - eg.reduced cycle time option. Only downside noticed so far is that touch controls make it all too easy to accidentally change settings eg. temperature. Not used the dryer yet so cannot comment on it. Overall I’m pleased with this product and especially impressed by how quiet it is.

    Seems to take a very long time

    Much slower than my previous Zanussi washer-dryer (which finally gave up the ghost after 17 years of service!) For example, washing a load of sheets on a 40° cotton programme used to take 1:25 and then an hour to tumble on high, to be cupboard dry (even with just a 1400 spin). With the new machine the same load takes over six hours (more than twice as long) and the sheets still aren't completely dry at the end of it. There doesn't seem to be an option to set a high or low temperature for the dryer, as with my old machine. Perhaps that means everything gets dried on the low setting? On the plus side, it is very quiet.

    Simple to use washer/dryer

    This is the first washer/dryer I have bought. It is compact and integrates well into an existing kitchen, replacing an old washing machine. I don’t like to read instruction manuals and thankfully didn’t need to lookup anything other than the basic buttons. It is extremely easy to use, is very quiet, has more than enough options including a handwash option for delicates. The dryer is brilliant. It has a wash only, dry only or wash/dry option for all clothing types. Couldn’t be easier and washes really well. Really happy I went ahead and trusted that washer/dryer combinations are not what I thought they used to be.
