We like to do things differently at AO...
We've teamed up with Domestic & General, the leading specialist warranty provider in the UK; to offer you the AO Aftercare Protection Plan.
We'll be in touch once you've placed your order
We may be in touch to offer an AO Aftercare Protection Plan after you've purchased a product from us. AO Aftercare does not have to be purchased at the same time as you buy an electrical appliance or product, you can buy an AO Aftercare Protection Plan up to one month following your product purchase. Alternatively, you can purchase it within one month of the expiry of your manufacturer's guarantee or at any other time we may permit.
How does the the AO Aftercare Protection Plan work?
The AO Aftercare Protection Plan is a month-by-month service plan - payable by Direct Debit, which you can cancel at any time. Should you cancel within 14 days of entering into the plan, you will receive a full refund of any payment made (unless you've already received a replacement product), but no refund will be given if you cancel after such time. Should you be provided with a replacement product under the plan, your plan will come to an end automatically.
What is included with my AO Aftercare Payment Protection Plan?
Please note that other forms of extended warranties or protection are available from third parties. Your home insurance may cover some of the benefits provided by the AO Aftercare Protection Plan (but may not cover damages caused by accident and/or excess charges may apply and a claim may affect the cost of subsequent insurance premiums). Protection may also be available for limited periods on some appliances from your credit card provider.
What are my statutory rights?
You have statutory rights relating to goods you buy from us should a product turn out to be faulty. These rights include the right to claim for a refund, repair, or replacement for up to six years (five in Scotland) if your electrical goods were not of satisfactory quality or fit for their purpose when they were sold to you. After the first six months you will have to prove that the goods had a fault when sold to you and the longer it takes for the fault to appear the more difficult this will be. For further advice on these rights, contact your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau. The AO Aftercare Protection Plan is provided by Domestic & General Services Limited, part of the Domestic & General group of companies. In the event that Domestic & General Services Limited ceases trading there is no dedicated financial backing.
