He was once just a young cub found fast asleep in an old washing machine at an AO recycling centre.
Cold, hungry and alone, Bear was taken in by the AO team who cared for him as if he were one of their own.
So much so he became part of the team. And he was a natural.
He knew everything about every appliance and could fix any electrical.
In fact, he spent most of his time in the AO repair centre doing his bit to save the planet by saving old washing machines. Good for customers, good for the environment.
...in our vans, in our communities, delivering appliances to beaming families the length and breadth of Britain. He loved electricals, but he loved seeing the happiness they brought to customers more.
When making a delivery, Bear spotted a little girl looking sad. So he went over and said ‘Hello’ to which the girl pulled him in for a great big hug, smiling from ear to ear.
Bear hadn’t had a hug like that since, well, he was a baby bear. He felt all warm and fuzzy and loved. And so did the little girl.
From that day on, Bear stayed with the girl in the family home where they played and they laughed and they danced like only best friends do.
