There are lots of different gaming accessories for PC depending on what you play. For first-person shooters, you’ll want a dedicated gaming mouse with lots of extra buttons and adjustable sensitivity, so your aim is dead on. Love living a second life in big online worlds? Grab a gaming keyboard that uses mechanical switches and almost no latency for complete control over your character. And of course, most controllers also work with PC to give your playtime a more casual console feel.

If you’re just getting started with PC gaming, then look out for a computer with at least a quad core processor that hits speeds of around 3GHz. You’ll also need a minimum of 8GB of RAM, though 16GB is preferable. Most importantly, make sure the model you want has a dedicated Nvidia GeForce® or AMD Radeon™ graphics card and even storage to install your games.

Apart from the computer itself, you’ll need a monitor, mouse and keyboard just like any other version. There are specially made gaming versions of each with extra buttons or faster speeds to make the most of your experience. Plus, since a lot of games come as digital downloads now, broadband is a must.
