Washer dryers are really low maintenance because they drain out any lint with the water, so you don’t have to empty a pesky filter.
There’re a few reasons your washer dryer may have stopped drying. The first thing to check is if the tank is full. Next see if you’re putting too much in. Most washer dryers can wash a larger load than they can dry. This is because clothes need more space for air to circulate when drying, so try taking a few bits out. If that doesn’t work, have a look through the manual that came with the machine, there might be troubleshooting advice to get things going again easily. If that still doesn’t sort it, your manual should have the contact details for your manufacturer, who will be able to help.
If you want to stack your washer and dryer, first check that the models you have are suitable for stacking. This info should be in the manual or on the manufacturer’s website. Then you’ll need a stack kit which is a set of metal brackets to secure your appliances and make sure they can’t wobble off. You’ll just need to make sure the kit’s right for the models you have, too.
The easiest way to hide your appliances in the kitchen is to get integrated models that sit behind your cabinetry. But if you’re not having a remodel or there’s no space to do that, you can get custom doors built to slot in front of them. Just make sure there’s plenty of space around the machine as they may get warm or move slightly on a fast cycle.
The water from a washer dryer goes out through your sink pipes or plumbing pipes and is disposed of in the same way as all other waste water from your home.
