Want a white oven? Get down to AO

If you want to know how much your new oven’s going to cost to run, look at the energy rating of each model on our product pages. They range from A+++ to G, with A+++ being the most efficient option. The higher the rating, the less it’ll cost to heat up and cook your dinners. So if you find yourself using the oven all the time, you’ll want to see what you could save. Fancy learning more about energy labels? We’ve got a page dedicated to them on our site.

Look up different sizes

While you’re oven shopping, it’s worth working out whether you want an electric single oven or a double. Most double ovens have two smaller cavities, or a small and a big cavity. While electric single ovens usually have one larger cavity. So if you usually cook big meals on one setting, you’ll be happy with a single, but if you’ve got fussy eaters or make lots of sides, a double might suit you better. It’s also worth looking at different capacities. Compact ovens save space and are great for small households – these models are usually around 40 litres. But if you need tons of space, you might want to look at single ovens with around a 75-litre capacity.

It's also necessary to check the dimensions of your space or your old model before you order. Our measurement guide will give you all the info you need, so grab your tape measure.

Find the right look

If you’re browsing white ovens, we’ve got fancy, tech-filled Bosch ovens, budget-friendly Indesit models, and sleek Hotpoint ovens. There are even Beko ovens with AeroPerfect™ that evenly spreads heat around the whole cavity. Electrolux have models with a grease-proof enamel coating, so they’re easy as pie to clean (even if the sauce has leaked a bit). Keep an eye out for AEG electric single ovens with SteamBake that makes deliciously moist cakes or succulent joints. Plus, they have Pyrolytic cleaning settings, so they’ll burn up any spatters, no trouble.

Struggling to whittle it down? Our oven buying guide should shed some light on all the different things you can think about before making the important decision.
