But for a more affordable option, Fridgemaster is perfect for those on a budget while still offering some great features. Then there are Beko freezers that get the job done with practical everyday features, while Bosch models have something to suit any style of kitchen and suit any need. Fancy something a little more chic? Check out Miele. They deliver high quality, stylish freezers that keep your food fresher for longer and look good doing it.
But that's not all! These freezers also come with amazing features to suit your needs, like frost-free tech, fast freeze function, Multiflow system, water dispensers, and ice makers.
Measurement Guide
Need help choosing the perfect fit? Look no further! Our handy guide will show you how to measure up properly. The size of the freezer will depend on the type you're after, so take note of the width and depth before deciding. Freezers can vary in width up to 150cm, while integrated models typically have a width and depth of 55-60cm to fit standard housing units. For undercounter freezers, they usually stand around 85cm tall, so you’ll need to check the height underneath your worktop too. Don't forget to add an extra 5cm to your measurements to provide proper ventilation for optimal performance.
Keep your freezer in tip-top shape
Make your freezer last longer with a bit of easy maintenance. Check the coils and clean them when needed, keeping them dust-free will help the motor run smoothly and prolong the lifespan of your appliance. If you’ve got a frost free or no frost model, you don’t need to worry about defrosting as these clever freezers sort themselves out. But if it hasn’t got frost reducing tech, make sure to regularly defrost it as icy build ups can make the motor sluggish. Try to keep your freezer full, but don’t overload it. There should be space between different packets of food so cold air can circulate, but a full freezer will maintain the temperature easier than an empty one.
A really easy tip is to keep the freezer at the right temperature, this should be around -18°C. And if you think there’s something wrong with it, check the door seal to make sure it’s still doing its job properly. If not, this is a really cheap, quick thing for an engineer to fix or replace – and it could save you buying a new appliance sooner rather than later. And listen out for unusual sounds. If your freezer buzzes louder than normal or makes a loud knocking sound, the compressor could be damaged. If unsure, ask a professional for their advice
