Features are another important thing to consider here, and our washing machines have plenty of those. If you crave convenience, keep an eye out for WiFi and smartphone connectivity – for the comfort of starting a wash from the sofa. And you won’t have to turn the TV up if you’re living in an open plan apartment with a quiet inverter motor.

Lastly, check out the different programmes available on each black washing machine, these will change from brand to brand. Struggling with allergies? Measuring up for your black washing machine

Don’t forget to measure up correctly before choosing your machine – we wouldn’t want it to not fit on delivery day. Measure the width, depth, and height of the space. If it’s a built-in model, you’ll need an accurate cupboard door measurement too. 

Most models are designed to fit neatly under a counter, standing at 85cm tall. If you’re going for a freestanding machine, just make sure you’ve got a water supply nearby - you’ll need to add an extra 7cm at the back for the pipes to connect.
