Our range of built in washing machines (or you might also see them called integrated washing machines) will suit every type of household, whether you’re constantly keeping on top of the kid’s uniforms or you love a good gym sesh.
One of the biggest benefits of a built-in washing machine is that it'll blend in seamlessly with your kitchen design. They sit nicely behind a cupboard door to match your interior and keep your appliance out of sight. It's also worth mentioning that you'll need to make sure you've purchased your cupboard door as part of your kitchen, because it won't come included with your washing machine.
Need help choosing?
So, you've decided integrated is better for you than a freestanding model. Great! The next thing to consider is whether you want any specific features. If you want to be able to switch your machine on from the sofa, look out for WiFi and smartphone connectivity. Or, if your home is open plan, you might want a quiet motor that'll keep the noise down.
You can also get integrated washing machines with different programmes, such as Quick Wash cycles, economy wash for saving a few pennies, and steam settings for getting rid of germs and bacteria.
Energy-efficiency is a big one too – we’ve made plenty of helpful guides if you want to know more about energy symbols or running costs.
Looking for a particular brand?
At AO, we have all the leading brands, including Hoover, LG, Hotpoint, Samsung and Bosch. Hoover is a family favourite with lots of low cost models with all the essential features, while LG are known for their intuitive designs and impressive features.
What capacity will I need?
Up to 7kg is perfect for small households, while 10kg is recommended for medium-sized households. If you’ve got a big family and a never-ending pile of laundry, you might want to get a 12kg+ integrated washing machine.

Measuring for your built-in washing machine
When choosing a built-in washing machine, you’ll need to take accurate measurements to make sure it'll fit on delivery day.
Designed to fit under a standard countertop, they usually stand at 85cm tall. You’ll need to leave a 7cm gap at the back for the water connection too. And because it’ll be integrated, we recommend checking the measurements of the furniture door as well.

Installing your built in washing machine
Your integrated washing machine may need some extra panelling fitted during installation. If you want to remove the faff of installing it yourself, just choose our handy installation service at checkout. We can also take your old appliance away and recycle it for you.
