The tado Smart Thermostat is very simple to install with all of the necessary parts included. The setup is also very simple, being guided through via the app step by step. This is a great way, along with the Smart Radiator Thermostats to control temperature individually in each room. The Geofencing feature and Open window detection are great ways to reduce your energy consumption and associated costs. After looking at Hive (I already have Hive bulbs, Sockets and Sensors) and Nest, this one stood out as the best and most feature rich at a good price.

Easy to install when using without the extension kit. If the extension kit is used the output relays aren't required as this is done by the extension kit. Manuals don't mention this.

I've researched smart thermostats for a long time and the tado has to be the best out their to combine tech smarts, good looks and the ability to go for a full mutli room system over time. Install was easy in my case, just remove the old wired thermostat and replace with the tado one; great and easy to follow step by step instructions provided interactively on the website. Base unit is unobtrusive, only annoyed that talk talk have removed usb ports for their most recent router so separate power is needed! All up and running within and hour and no issues with controling the boiler. Great data on temp and humidity, clearly layed out. Niggle with the app is that if you set away mode, you don't appear to be able to set home unless out to home. Could lead to unhappy family members who don't have the app installed! Looking forward to adding the individual trvs over time..

We bought this as our dryer was looking a bit tired and wouldn’t have looked the part in our new Utility Room. This is the best looking bot of kit for the money and large drum is an absolute dream. Highly recommend

I took a long time to decide if I was going to purchase the tado system as there is a lot on the market, the decision to choose the tado system came down the geofencing and the ability to add smart thermostats to the radiators. I opted to do my own installation and I have to say that the instructions on the tado website where the best I have ever used and made the installation faultless and it worked 1st time. recommended product

I had done a lot of research into the different smart thermostats before purchasing the tado. The 2 biggest factors in my selection process was wanting geo-fencing functionality, so my home isn't heated when I'm not there, and ease of install, I was replacing an existing battery-powered wired thermostat. - I think I made the right choice.

Everything included in the kit, no hidden extras needed. Entered my original thermostat in the online fitting guide, wiring diagram was then displayed, no dramas. All done and fitted in half an hour, works a treat.
