Disappointing, noisy fan , free standing feet don’t fit .log effects not very bright. Heat output very good.

Absolutely fantastic electric fire. Fits in really well with the room and looks really stylish. It was really easy to put in. The flame is a nice gentle one so very relaxing and there is barely any noise from it (I have to put my ear up to it to hear it). The heat that comes out is instant and really warm. Warms the room very quickly. Really happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend.

Nice to have a glowing fire as a centrepiece to our lounge, makes the room feel warm even when we are only using the fire effect without the heating option.

Needed to replace a coal effect gas fire. I wanted a good realistic flame effect and having checked the various options, I decided Be Modern Fires met my needs. I went for the Athena as it was on offer with AO and their service was faultless. The fire is just as advertised. It fits my existing surround perfectly and looks great. Very straight forward to operate, virtually silent with just flame effect and still relatively quiet with the heater/fan on. I also really like that the log bed is behind glass so it won't require endless dusting. Great value!
