Nice size for small batch cooking and various frozen chips are tasty (have not tried other foods) . 1 star knocked off as it does not have any filtration and oil smell may linger. Can't compare to anything else as we used to use a chip pan on the gas, so turning electric is new to us, though much more convenient.

The lid was awkward at first and would not stay closed but after the fryer heated up it closed and now works well. The fryer overall is great for the price and after a few years on oven chips these taste amazing. Heats up quick and the outer stays cool enough to touch. Not the biggest capacity but for 1-2 serving it's ok.
