Can you make better coffee than the Barista TS Smart by hand? Perhaps, if you're a very good barista. For the rest of us with neither the skill nor the time to faff about with grinding beans and getting the brew just right, this machine will knock out basically any kind of coffee you like that's so good that you'll be disappointed by a lot of cafes. It's also largely idiot-proof, it'll remind and guide you through any cleaning and maintenance that it needs. The phone app for its Bluetooth connectivity is also surprisingly decent, and I've not encountered any bugs or glitches while using it. For guests, it's easy to just hand them the phone so they can spec their coffee to their taste. Just bear in mind that this a large machine and it's surprisingly deep. This was fine for my large kitchen, but if yours is smaller do take the time to measure and make sure you've got the space for this absolute unit. Otherwise, I have no qualms about recommending this even against more expensive competitors.

Bought this for my husband’s birthday who loves coffee. 2 compartments for different coffee beans and makes a great coffee. Looking forward to testing out the many more functions that the machine offers.

We did our research on which coffee maker to buy. We love our new Melitta Barista. The set up takes a little time, but its worth doing properly because then It is very easy to use....and makes great coffee, which is as good as those made in our local coffee shops. The machine is fairly quiet when you make the coffee and when it cleans. It has an automatic cleansing process which makes maintenance again very easy. Highly recommend

It does seem very configurable- but as with all such things it does take some while to configure to my requirements. It may take a few goes. Emptying the water tray is tricky - it’s flat and large and difficult not to spill on the floor (resolved by moving next to sink!!) brilliant that I can have 2 types of coffee - in my case one is decaf!

The Machine is sleek black and is the best bean to cup piece of kit I have ever purchased. Although it does not really advertise the fact it has two bean compartments this is really an advantage as you can chose hopper 1 or 2 for different bean types getting the best flavors for your perfect preferred beverage. Really nice hot coffee and when you choose Cappuccino or the likes drinks with milk not as hot but a lot hotter than other machines we have tried, easy to set up follow the on screen instructions and you can not go wrong. self cleaning .good looking excellent value for money. one very satisfied customer. Our old machine gave up on us and decided to purchase new unit. After deliberation we’ve decided to buy Melitta Barista. Delivery was very quick and professional. Clear communication with customer service. So far we’re very impressed with the machine. Coffee is perfect all works fine. Also machine is very quiet and ready to brew in less then minute. Highly recommended.
