    Sturdy, gets the job done

    5/5
I have had a few air purifiers in the past but this one is most definitely the most aesthetically pleasing I have owned by far. It blends in well with furniture and does not look clinical which I like. The feel is also very strong and sturdy and it can cope with pets knocking it around from time to time! The air is noticeably more fresh and it can handle a medium-large size room with no problems at all. Noise level is not intrusive. The App has also been good and a few times I've turned it on before arriving home and the difference is very clear! Living on a busy road I've found this useful and it also has helped my son's allergies, would definitely recommend.

    Amazing products amazing design

    5/5
AEG are a brand that is known for its quality in its products and this air purifier is no exception. After considering other brands and looking at the air purifiers that are on sale the AEG air purifier seems to be perfect for what I needed. There are many other brands that do the same and that a similar price but for me the build quality really does shine against the other brands the only disappointing thing for me is that this product was made in China and not Germany.Been my very first air purifier I am very happy with this product not only is it very stylish but also is very quiet and was noticeable when the product has been working that the air does smell cleaner the app what''s easy to connect and you can monitor the air quality in your property which was really good.I can''t highly recommend this product not only for its Style and it''s build quality but also for the product in general as someone one who doesn''t usually purchase AG products I''m very pleased on this occasion I did and I''m very glad I didn''t purchase the Philips or Dyson air purifier as the build quality is nowhere near the superior as the AEG product. The only other complaint I do have have I got the filters are very very expensive and possibly could need replacing after only one year and products being made in China apart from that I would highly recommend this product to anyone one who has allergens like myself that wants clean career in their property also by a brand you can trust.

Great air purifier but app needs work

    4/5
Having never used an air purifier before, I was skeptical about its benefits. After using the AX91-404GY for almost 4 months, I can "feel" the difference in the air. I suffer from hay fever, allergies and asthma, and this helps in making the air feel clean. Especially after cooking, the air purifier gives off a red light which indicates poor air quality, and in less than an hour the light turns green - which means the air quality is ok. The AX91-404GY is a little bigger than I imagined, but the design and colour is sleek, and it fits well in a modern home. I would like it to be a little smaller so that it wouldn''t take up too much space. It is generally not noisy when running, except for when the air quality is poor, the fan will run a little harder which creates a louder noise (but only for awhile). Very straight forward and easy to use when turned on manually. However, over the months I''ve had issues with connecting to the AEG app. I''ve only knocked a point off because of that. Some of the issues of the app range from the app crashing, or not being able to detect my air purifier, or even after I''ve managed so connect my air purifier to the app, it requires re-setting up when I move my air purifier into another room. Overall, I''ve found the air purifier to be beneficial for my home and health. Apart from the app which needs work, it would have been perfect!

    Great design and so quiet

Had item for a month now. Liked it so much, bought two! One for upstairs and one down. Works very well and very quiet. Humidity and temperature are not accurate which is a shame for the price but not a show stopper. No problems with the app and love that I can control it remotely.

A positive addition to my home

    5/5
So out of the box it looks great, it could be part of wireless speaker system. The unit feels solid and well made, with 2 handy carry handles. You can just simply turn the unit on & adjust the speed in manual mode, but it''s definitely worth reading the manual! For example, do not expect the filter to work effectively if all the doors and windows are open. It is very quiet on low, about as loud as a fridge when running on full (which doubt will be very often). To get full functionality you will need to download the app. I had to hunt around about for the app on Apple store (not sure about Google store), it''s called ''AEG Wellbeing''. Maybe could use a QR code on box?Once downloaded, connecting everything up via Wifi is easy (you will need to create a basic account). The App is pretty intuitive. You get a 7 day x 24 hour timer so can clean the air while asleep or at work if required. You can also see full hour by hour display of air quality and humidity in home. The filter can be vacuumed but will eventually need replacing. I''m unsure of life, but guess it really depends on how polluted you house is. The filter life is displayed on app, it''s been running for 2 weeks and still on 100% so hoping its ages until I have to get a new filter. Auto mode normally uses PM2.5s (from Diesel cars, wood smoke, etc.) to drive fan speed. The sensors are very sensitive, normally mine runs on green (good air) but if you start cooking it quickly goes amber and ramps up the fan speed to increase air scrubbing. It also appears to be very handy to remove odours (and VOCs?) from decorating or cleaning. The app also gives you hourly totals for reduction in all the various items the unit can cope with (e.g. PM2.5, PM10 and volatile organic compounds).Overall, it seems to be doing a solid job of cleaning air in house. It''s not quite the season yet, but wife gets bad hay fever so hoping this can really reduce pollen inside.

    A breath of fresh air!

    5/5
This AEG air purifier is an amazing piece of tech that improves the air you breathe by removing invisible `nasties’. Unlike so many air purifiers that are `ugly white boxes’ this has a really high-end premium design that is matched with superb performance. My husband has suffered all his life from low level asthma which results in him coughing in the night and mornings. We put this air purifier in our bedroom and the coughing has completely stopped and night time `wheezing’ is improving day by day. We leave it in `smart mode’ all of the time with the ionizer function switched on (meaning pollutants are even further reduced). Smart Mode means that the machine is constantly monitoring the air quality and adjusts itself whenever it detects a change in the particles levels in the air – horrible to think that before we owned it we were breathing these particles, many of which can end up trapped in your lungs and even pass into the bloodstream. When working it is virtually silent (as I say, we have it in the bedroom). When it detects a change in air quality (e.g particles from cooking / hair drying / aerosols etc) it automatically adjusts the speed at which it is filtering the air, increases the fan speed (there are 9 speeds) to bring the air quality back up to a good standard as quickly as possible. The app is simple to use, gives you complete control of the air purifier, allows you to monitor the recent air quality and also has a really nice feature showing you the local outdoor air quality near to your home – great for checking air quality before you head out for your daily exercise. The app records the recent air quality and I have to say it is fascinating seeing which activities (e.g. cooking) can cause the air quality to deteriorate and then to see the speed at which the air purifier improves the quality – I have tried switching the purifier off before cooking and then switching on later and the air quality is still poor much later than when the air purifier is switched on and silently caring for our air and protecting our health. I would strongly recommend this product.

    City living essential

    5/5
Living in an open plan apartment, I do not know why I have ever waited this long before I got one of these. I love open-plan living and I love cooking, but not so much the smells that lingers around the entrance/kitchen/living area after lunches and dinners, even long after the guests has left. Let me tell you, this piece of kit is gold! It’s an intelligent air filter. You download the AEG Wellbeing app, which allows you tomanage your air filter from your phone. The smart tag keeps track of your filter life and allows you to add tasks for example to filter the air at set times of the day or week and for how long (all you pet lovers, take note). So far, I’ve only used the ‘Smart Mode’ where the filter basically automatically adjust itself to optimise the air inyour space. How cool is that!?Aesthetically it’s a joy to look at. Pentagonal in shape, I love the architectural design in the two-tone grey. The top half in a beautiful checkered pattern that looks like it could be textured but is not. The lower half is the grill with small punched holes that mimics the top section. It has these very stylish tan-coloured handles that looks greatagainst the grey and allows for it to be moved easily. No more baking soda or ground coffee or scented candles solutions. Just invest in an AEG air purifier (I have the AX91-404GY) model, and I guarantee you that this beautiful art piece will give you fresh, crisp, clean air in no time, every time.
