The product itself could have a better energy rating however I selected this model and given a high rating because I have a very very low kitchen ceiling so discarded the chimney entirely and installed the product attached to the wall but at ceiling height. (Think is is only possible if like me the extract output is connected in the ceiling to an extractor vent that then goes outside).

The product was supplied in good working order. However the chimney section is too long at 52cm to fit over a gas hob, meeting building regulations, and with a the floor to ceiling height of under 2.35m. Customer services at Neff were not helpful saying I will need to saw down the hood to fit, not something I am able to do . I will need to pay someone to do this. The installation manual says the height from the ceiling to the bottom of the cooker hood should be between 642 and 954mm, my installation is 665mm so why doesn't the chimney fit without sawing it down?
