The hood itself looks good and seems to work well. It is noisy but no more than my previous unit. I would say that the installation is not as straightforward as other reviews suggest. We were fitting it to the underside of a cupboard and it required 3 sets of hands and was very tricky to install. The installation instructions are not clear at all- there are no words used in the step by step instructions so it was hard to know what the pictures meant. Just adding a few words would have made all the difference!

Bought this to replace old Zanussi hood that had seen better days. High quality construction as you'd expect from Bosch. Yes, the fan noise can be excessive on level 3, but 1 and 2 are fine. Tip 1 - you will need to buy a carbon filter as it does not come with one. Replica Bosch ones are available online for £20, so no need to spend £65! Tip 2 - if your plug socket is in your canopy cupboard, you may need to use a hole saw to make a hole large enough to fit the plug and cable through (it's not detachable, so beware). The drilling template for screws/rawlplugs is useful, and I found 2 screws were sufficient if drilling into masonry. Takes a good hour to put in, so measure twice, fit it once!

easy to install but noisy does the job

very easy to install, looks good but noisy. sounds a bit like an aeroplane about to take off! can hear it in the lounge with the kitchen door shut.

Instructions were pretty hard to follow and no help online to install - but it’s up and does the job. Quite loud on its higher setting but to be expected. Happy now it’s up and working.

Love the hood, looks great. Only problem was with the fitting instructions, the diagram for drilling the bolt holes was incorrect.

One of the main features and one that really swayed me to this was the fact that it states LED lighting. Very disappointed to find the bulbs appear to be standard hood bulbs. If I am mistaken, they certainly do not give an LED effect. Aside from that we are pleased with it’s excellent performance thus far. It is not super quiet but that’s to be expected with all fan operated small appliances so no complaints there. A trusted name at a great price so overall would recommend.
