The cooker came in very strong reinforced polystyrene packaging, but it was difficult to remove from the base of the packaging as there were no handholds to assist in lifting it out. The cooker is very nicely finished and appears to be well made. The doors are very solidly built but open and close smoothly. The controls, while plastic, have an appealing chrome finish. In use, the hob rings heat up and cool down more quickly than I expected (this is my first electric cooker after having gas for many years) and it's easy to set the correct temperature for a simmer or rolling boil. The oven likewise is easy to use. Note that the main oven light is on continuously while the oven is in use. My only concern has been that if something spills from a pan onto the glass hob, it can become baked on pretty quickly. Belling advise that you only clean the hob with soapy water so it can be difficult to remove some material, such as oils. Overall this is a great cooker and I am happy with my purchase.

Bought this in lockdown, so did not see the actual oven before it arrived. To be honest If I had viewed the oven selection in store I probably would have chosen something more contempary. It is a very traditional looking oven. Simple to control. It lacks a hot hob warning light; so easy to leave the hob on. Ceramic top marks easily. Make sure you don't wipe it over untill it is cold or risk leaving particles of cloth welded to the surface. The instruction guide that came with the oven is poor and does not give any guidance on cooking times etc. The oven seems robust and solidly made; time will tell.

I had a fully electronic cooker last time so it's taking a while adjusting to having dials again but it's a good cooker. The grill and oven feel quite wide which is a good thing and I've got the hang of the timer. Just a shame it doesn't have one on the top oven too but it's not something you need often. Ann's the colour looks fab, it really brightens the kitchen!

A: The hotplate really DO need a warning light lit until the plate cools to a safe level' B: Whilst the chromed ring showing the heat setting on ALL functions LOOKS smart, with the normal overhead lighting the actual setting is LOST in the reflected light that is always at the top of a round switch with normal kitchen lighting from a ceiling fitting!

The cooker is very good. It heats up really quickly and is very energy efficient too. The ceramic hob is very controllable - the only thing missing is a residual heat warning light.

Large oven spaces with simple to use controls. Cleaning is easy as there aren’t too many annoying grooves to navigate. The only downside is that there are no lights to indicate that the hob is turned on. I would recommend this cooker which looks very smart when installed.

Having had two Belling double ovens lasting 36 years, we thought we would go for this one. Fits in well with our wood units. Temperature of oven and hobs at a given setting not quite as high as our previous Belling but fine when we get used to them. Would have preferred a green clock rather than a red one (minor point). Also an indicator showing whether the hobs are hot as previous model.

Very pleased with purchase. Lovely colour, the dials easy to clean so grease would not build up.
