One of apple’s better ideas but the larger HomePod is more able. I could not say the sound is immersive and Siri is far less capable than Alexa. Apple need to work on the Ai capabilities of Siri. However, connectivity is intuitive and the sound quality is good enough if you just want back ground music playing. Making calls and send / receive messages is great not having to pick up your phone. Do buy if you want to listen and do daily tasks. Don’t buy if you want a quality sound system. Buy two or three for all around the house sound. Probably good if you live alone but annoying with a house full of people. Nobody uses intercom in real life. Well, I can smell my dinner cooking and I like to talk to my family the analog way. Yes. Recommend.

I received this very quickly, and from unboxing it to setting it up, everything was straightforward and easy, and my HomePod mini is a great addition to my apartment.

It took me a while to join the ‘smart speaker’ gang but given the price/performance ratio of the HomePod mini, I thought it was time to dip a toe. Given the size of the units, the performance is most impressive. I’m currently operating a pair as a stereo set up which is proving entirely adequate in a normal sized lounge without the intrusion of a larger set up. Performs surprisingly well even at higher volumes. These are my first smart speakers so I don’t have anything to compare with but Siri seems to certainly handle anything I’m likely to need and provides a secure bridge for remote control of other HomeKit compatible devices. Although not an issue for me, I can see that the fixed cable might be an issue for anyone wanting to swap for a longer one etc but if they don’t already exist, I expect somebody will make a usb-c extension. Overall, very impressed and I anticipate buying more units for a full house experience over time.

This is my second HomePod mini and it’s superb , better having two so I think I will have to get a third and fourth so I can really enjoy the wonderful clear and complex sound quality from my great sound system, Thanks Apple

Sounds great, works great with HomeKit and acts as a hub for when you leave home.

The sound quality is excellent for the size. Despite siri not being the smartest assistant, it still does all of the basics and is really fast at completing the actions you tell it to.

You cannot argue for the price, this tiny speaker sounds better than the rest and can be easily used for conference calls and some Smart Home commands. Yes - Siri isn't the best but it has been steadily improving and i value my privacy which it does better than some other rivals.

Much better sound for the size than expecting, ordered 3 and am finding plenty of excuses to use it around the house! I can imagine that a single device would be less useful, having the three really is what gives the device its value I think, combined with the Airplay functionality.
