    A phenomenal PC Monitor!

    5/5
I purchased this 42" LG C3 to use as a PC Monitor. I absolutely love it. Perfect size with the deepest of blacks. Combined with the LGCompanion app from Github to switch on and off with the powering of a computer and the picture/setup settings copied from Youtube, you end up with the best bang for buck 4K "Monitor" you can buy. It is of course a TV and has all the apps that you would need to use it as such. Negative: not the TV per say but more on streaming services. Oled can highlight how bad the streaming services are. If you use any that streams in HDR or Dolby Vision then you will be blown away.

    LG nice tv

Great tv. Fabulous picture bu not the easiest set up if you have lots of hdmi connections to make. HDMI arc doesn’t work well with all types of sound systems as mine keeps grabbing the port back every time I want to output audio to another device such as headphones. But otherwise a great tv with lots of optional settings.

Life's Good, at least as far as TV is concerned!

    5/5
I really think this is the very best option for a smaller (42") TV. The picture quality is superb, and dark images and blacks are rendered really well. The sound is very rich and has a good balance with plenty of bass. You really don't need a soundbar, which I would not expect to have to buy for a smaller TV where you are not going for a cinematic experience. The set up is really simple, and all services and subscriptions are really simple to sign in to. The remote control is not overcomplicated, and has a pointer function which makes selection of your input even easier. I use this all the time. I also like the standby mode with selections of artwork or images, and sounds. The price point looked to be at the bottom of the range for this type of set and judging by the reviews of the main competitors, the LG beats them for the quality of offering whether in picture, sound, or both. So great value too. I rarely get excited about about bits of kit for the home, but this one genuinely hits all the spots and I am more than happy to sing its praises.

    Happy but hmmmmmmmm....

For someone who had a LED TV for 15 years, the picture quality is great, much sharper and blacks are black, hence going for an OLED. However, motion blur is noticeable. Seems to happen more on external sources e.g., over HDMI and to a lesser extent on normal TV. I suspect the TV is trying to upscale to 4k and thus, fast movement ends up with choppy artefacts. I have tried different settings with no real improvement. Hopefully a future update will fix it. I didn't like having to make an email account to make things work. It has already lost some of the settings, eg quick access, shortcuts, and put back the apps I moved / removed. I thought it was because it signed out of the account, but signing back in didn't restore my settings, so I hope this isn't something I have to redo every two weeks. To be honest, if AO hadn't taken the packaging away, I would have returned it. I now have to live with an expensive but 'just' ok TV

    42” OLED worth every penny.

Finally nice to have an OLED TV at the smaller size of 42” which is ideal size for the bedroom. Great picture quality and sound isn’t bad for it being TV sound rather than via a soundbar. Like that it has 4 HDMI inputs, all of which support HDR and game mode. Now I can lie on the bed playing my PS5 whilst utilising its full power of 120Hz, 4K, HDR.
